Rules for the IRL Division
1. DSL LW IRL Rules
2. I can AI but it is a lot easier if you just do so yourself
3. Will be recorded with ZD Soft game recorder (exactly like fraps)
4. 16 Entries
5. Double Elimination
6. Skinned DSL tourney arena
7. No BFE AAM, etc
8. Arena Hazards On
9. No in game glitches
10. No pop ups jugglers or crawlers but other than that all bot types are allowed
11. Multi bots are NOT allowed
12. deadline will be one month after this is in the sign ups
13. bots can be upgraded ONLY once
14. No hax mode
15. no stacking
16. One havok match is restarted TWO havoks and the bot that caused it will be disqualified
17. I will not be entering this time
18. Metal hinges ARE allowed
19. Judge bursts ARE allowed
20. best two out of three
21. 2 miniute matches
22. List of AI components that are allowed

matilda teeth

Diablo triple bar
Complete Control weapon
Wham bat
beta hammer
Extras from Bulldog breed, Apolyon, Thermidor 2, MOE, That darn dustpan, Hworf, Complete control, Techno destructo, Minion,Tornado, Tazbot, Wheely big cheese, and Lightning.
Judge extras except for the gavel head
All beta extras as well besides the battery
Bob extras besides flamethrower battery and top armor.

I like the looks of some of the IRL bots as well, Pwnator's design looks brilliant, and Mr AS has entered substandard DSL again, but hey ho. I suppose it could be built, and then it would fail. What I cannot believe, though, is how someone has managed to make SFTW even worse. I'm almost tempted to give him +1 rep for pulling it off.

I've asked GK for clarification on this issue. Simply saying "DSL 2.1" is a little bit vague to me, it could either mean the bots have to be built in DSL 2.1, or it could mean that only the tournament is being filmed in DSL 2.1. There have been previous instances of robots being built outwith DSL 2.1 for DSL 2.1 tournaments, but none of them have had the component attachment problem, to the best of my knowledge. We'll have a definitive answer on this soon.

They are now. While building a bot in something other than DSL 2.1 for a DSL 2.1 tournament isn't against the rules, you need to adhere to the building restrictions in DSL 2.1, i.e. hexplates don't attach to Magmotors. So, unfortunately for ty4er, his bot is thus illegal and will need to be replaced. I'll update stuff tomorrow (possibly) to reflect the decision.

Naww you could build it IRL, sure it looks a bit different but it obeys the rules. Besides I entered to make the numbers/support the tournament and because I got my old DSL bots back :)

Not expecting anything from either of my entries because they are like 2-3 years old IIRC.

Its not like it makes much of a difference, there's still a 400hp motor to knock off.

My bot seriously was looking pretty incompetent against a simple wedge... I was pretty worried that it was going to lose more than 1 round of that fight. The inner wheel design was for coolness factor, but seems to make the bot terribly prone to getting counted out. :P

I'm suprised my Axe managed to take the perm off really, it's more powerful than I expected.

Also, my bot should have been able to fire its Axe when it was on its rear. But oh well, bring on the losers round.

Thanks man it means a lot. Anyway R1 of Generic will be up as soon as naryar sends his bot. But if he doesn't by the end of today I'm just gonna go on without him.

But you seen the bots :P speaking from experience about the whole showing entry thing (remember when I tried to change my Robo Zone 2 entry?) there will be people complaining because you have seen all the entries.

Still awaiting G.K to clear up those rules.
