-rule of 7 break and stock cheatbot2 flamethrower allowed
-no bfe, ra2cf, objra2, every other cheatbot2 part and etc.
-ring arena
-32 entrants
-rumble format with a loser's bracket.
-you must pm me ON GTM your bot to enter. (one person is exempt from this rule :mrgreen:)
-i can reject any bot for any reason
-robots must show some sort of controlled movement.
-robots may be disqualified for excessive havoking/the builder complaining :dance:
-deadline will be two weeks after this becomes a signup thread, you may send a 2nd bot along with your first entry, but it will be put on a waiting list until signups close. if signups aren't filled by then, it will be added into the main tourney.

I thought we had 4 months to enter though, plus the sign-ups isn't full yet /sarcasm.

I count three people that are entered that I know nothing good about. If there is even one Spinner From the West entry, I'm going to be pissed because vets like Kill and Sage that have spent so much time contributing to the RA2 community got snubbed in favour of many noobs that thought that it might be kind of neat to enter their first tourney.
I suggest that priority should be given in future to builders that have participated in at least one tournament before (in other words, keep the entries from the first-timers as reserves, and allow vets to have spot priority over them). Crapcan Derby should be the pinnacle of bot-building supremacy, and the best should be allowed every opportunity to compete.
I can see why Calypso is mad. 09 did say that the deadline was in four months, so I think that they should have until then to submit bots.

Think everyone, you had two weeks in advance, that is plenty of time to build something, test it, and enter it.
I managed to get something in because I used the time wisely, I had built no bots in advance plus some other bots I stole off the exchange. There was also a reason why so many people had entered just as registration started, they knew that spots to be in would not last long.
And also, who ever suggested that vets get top priority in entrants needs to think. This would allow for better fights, but think of what might happen in an all vet tournament. You might get the same champ many times in a row, the new players would be denied any chance, and soon would defeat the the reason why to host a tournament.

no, it is you who needs to think.
for one, new players have the same chance if one vet is in the ring or if its all vets. doesn't matter.
the same champ many times in a row? what the heck? if it's all vets, there would be less of a chance of that happening.
And now to relate to real tournaments in real life. This is the most prestigious tournament on the forum. If it were in real life, you woul have to be invited to something like this, and the only way to do that would be to get attention from winning smaller tourneys. do you think noobs at a sport can just join the olympic team in the olympics? just cause they feel like it? NO. they have to work hard for years to even get the chance of being in the olympics.
same goes for this tournament. vets have been around much longer and are much better at this game. why should the people who have much less expeiriance at the game even be allowed to compete when the good builders are spending time making good bots?
the deadline was in four months. thats when people planned. a good vet, unless they have a bot ready and made, will spend all the time he can on a good bot for Crapcan Derby.
We don't want to watch SFTW fights! sure, it's funny the first time, but it gets old. we need epic, cool, fun-to-watch fights where you dont know whats gonna happen.
