Rules have been updated to make things easier to remember, as well as unify rule sets so that all classes are bounded by the same limitations.

Are we allowed to build with the original skirt hinge with the knowledge the collision mesh will be removed for the actual tournament?
My above post explains everything about everything.

I should probably ask JoeBlo if the removed collision mesh will effect any robots to the point of crashing Robot Arena 2 - I have not yet tested it out.

I dont like "2.5.2. You can't put more than double the weight of a motor on a motor. (So, on a TWM3R, we cannot put more than 60 kg on it.)"

I wanted to enter a bar spinner.

Well, you can enter a bar spinner, you'll just have to use lighter components/a thinner/shorter bar/a more powerful motor.

This kinda had to be done to prevent shell spinners and Sit-and-Spin types from completely dominating the tournament (which probably won't happen if someone is smart and uses an arena with low walls like the BBEANS ones).

Cant you just have a rule stating "If I dont think its IRL realistic IT CANT ENTER and thats final" instead?

It's too subjective - I could simply dismiss a design just because I can.

This rule set is designed so that everyone has a definite and obvious standard to build to. I don't want to go through the process of having to ask everyone if their designs are used in real life.

However, I can relax the restriction a bit - maybe a factor of 2.5 (so you can slap 75 kg on)? Or a factor of three to keep it simple (30 kg motor = max 90 kg weapons)?

What is the judging criteria. Is it RFL style or something else?
