Thanks 40757. The tribars now spin outwards, and the bot is much easier to control.

Here's proof...

Also, I discovered while testing that the bot is invertable. Which is good.

Double post, yay!

I'm thinking of entering Scythe 5 into the Doomed bots tornament. Any more improvements I could make?
Good evening.

You had the spinners correct before, so you shouldn't have turned them.

What do you mean? When they were spinning in the same direction?

The only visible reason that SC spinners spin inwards is to avoid ramming racks and prevent them Jamming against oher HS for testing.

But the main problem is that HS trappers are UBER effective against that design.

Shoot me if I'm wrong.

Jason spins outwards. And my CPIV clone lost to it (I'll probably post it later), but it kicked Tempus' butt. And Jason's motors aren't bursted. o_O

Oh yeah Weirdo, I apologize if I'm getting too specific here, but if you can shrink the chassis a little more if you attach the snapper first, axle load the arm out then attach the black. While that arm is out of the motor, attach a long extender using its side AP to attach the plow. And to the others. If I'm right, you still have enough weight to put an ice pick at the attachment point near the plow. I might showcase a bot with that said setup. :D

I've been trying to work this out, but what would the ice pick do exactly? I've been meaning to do a rebuild but I'm just wondering about the ice-pick.

Probably like a weapon breaker like Fury's just in case the spinners get locked. My HSes usually lose to Fury because of that mace. >.<

You can always spend the extra weight on something more useful, but I dunno what. XD

Not really understanding what he said, what i thing is that to attach a single sided pick axe that overlaps the snowplow. Would help to do more damage but ice picks have normals...

Maybe if I kept the spinners spinning outwards...
Do you think that would stop them getting locked?

Yep. But the as S32 said, if they spin outwards, the weapons will most likely fall prey to heavily armed rammers. If they spin inwards, they will most likely hit the rammer's sides, which is better.

But SC HS Spin inwards, and unless those weapons are bursted You'll lose the weapons.

Also, 10 Irons rubbing against a snowplough, or 10 irons rubbing against a snowplow and 4 maces?

Take your pick on which will last longer.

Scythe 6

Yeah, so I did another rebuild. I'm not sure what I acheived other than make the chassis slightly smaller, and they could be smaller still. Also I tried Pwns idea of a weapon breaker, but I couldn't get it to work. I'll try again if I decide to rebuild tomorrow.

Good evening.
