Not necessarily, if the spinners are synced right.

I've accepted bots with dual spinners like that before. (Smoker and AtaxiA)

looks like it has terrible turning and is quite top heavy, but nice all the same. good use of the single wedge.

FS looks pretty sweet, if a little messy. Do those top irons hinder the gut-ripping abilities at all?

The crawler can at least move in a straight line but when it comes to turning while moving it's far from good. The top irons on the FS don't hinder its gut ripping capabilities that much.
