I'm open for an ideas of how to make a better maces setup, that will protect better the discs. Then it will be damn good.
Also, why I can't find in https://gametechmods.com/RA2wiki/index.php?title=Bot_types here a "vibro ram", "shell spinner in stock" or a "crusher" bot type?

Because no one has made those articles yet? One proof-of-concept bot isn't enough to warrant an entire wiki article.

Anyway I don't understand...is a shell spinner just a compact horizontal spinner? That said, it still looks incredibly awesome. LRRR was also very cleverly made.

1. At least, I'm trying. But I'm alone in this. You are a good builder, You can try to build one of these too. The stock is slowly dying. Most of the vets don't even build stock anymore. And if someone build something, it's from the "race for the best wedge only" that ruined stock. I also have some unshowcased damn good bots with superb wedges, but is this stopped me to build things without wedges?
2. It's more compact than a HS, and it have less vulnerable spots, than a regular HS. I would say it is a SS, 'cos I decided to put the maces later, if I made it with a ramplates all over for example, it will look more like a SS, but it will be pathetic in combat, so... I must have some very old stock SS tries in the old showcase rar, 'cos I remember trying this back then too.

Stock is dying ? Really ? With you and Inf back ? I doubt it.

also yeah it's technically not a shell spinner since no shell, but since it's just painful to make an actual shell spinner in stock, this is the next best thing.

compared to DSL and all this IRL stuff, stock is on life support.

Nar, wake up. Stock is dead. I will disappear permanently very soon, and Inf is becoming more and more busy with IRL stuff. So the stock will lose this two "Atlases" very soon...
Btw, why You are not building stock anymore?

because the constant stacking, overlapping and the mad axle load chains is too much of a hassle. It's no fun at all spending 30min on an axle load only to have it disappear or fail it because you have failed at attaching 1 me.

I may start building MW and LW stock again, at least you don't need to stack as much as HW.

also DSL is just plain better. More components, more choices, more design variability...

Naryar, you should try AW or BW. Not many BW's have been built ever so you could certainly chalk up some firsts in that weight class.

Also... Fracture, Pwn, Sage, Virus Bomb and Scrap Daddy all posting more would be a true stock revival.

Half the fun of building AW's is trying to be creative with the weight and lack of components you can use, it's also very time-efficent :P

aw and bw fights just seem really dull to me. There's no high speed collisions, no high powered spinners and not much damage done. It's like two toddlers fighting.

In DSL it's much better due to high power components though.

You can make some pretty good BW's but as mentioned they are rarely built. We have seen some great BW's built already though like Click's chained HS using a RAD + Redbird chain and 3 ice picks.

Some "Ianh" stuff :
3 in 1 :

The purpose of the BW was to experiment with the exotic and very rarely used components, just to see what would happen. You don't see stuff like this every day, and there is a reason why - IT SUX IN A FIGHT.
The kamikaze box was supposed to be the fastest possible AW bot with a weapon, the name is 100% right in describing it...
The AW-Cheapatron 2000 thing, scared the little weasel Jonzu95 so much, so he added the 2 wheels rule in the last moment in the CobatAnts after seeing this (I sent this as an entry before the sign ups).
All are invertible, and the kamikaze is even 100% unstuckable...

Lol at car steering on the BW.

Kamikaze box would be better if you managed to stack the anchors back to back and have the iron more centred.

I think Jonzu added the rule because:

lol someone should enter a Nasty Pickle bot.

I will try, meanwhile choose an AWs for your pack...

Why people are always opposite, instead of baning the 140 extender and the uberstack, they forbid crawlers and 1WDs. They looks pretty legal to me and some can show a control movement. They are normal bots that have an advantages and disadvantages, why for example Sage didn't win the HW stock BBEANS with his crawler...

Sage didn't win thanks to low walls and hazards IIRC :P

1WD wouldn't be a problem if AI'd robots just let them sit there and get countered out instead of always charging at them.

With MeltyBrain AI, the 1WD bots can move properly anyway. In fact, I know my LW 1WD HS series move faster than some 2WD designs.

Yea, the whole point of the robot was to ride on top of the other. So when i did that, i just kinda fell over the edge. For some reason I never even bothered to find out what arena BBEANS 5 was in... my bad.
You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.

Out of curiosity, Venko, and in regards to the Sheck Spinner....
Considering it just flops about the arena, has it ever destroyed itself from damaging it's own weapons? Not to sound negative or anything, but it seems like that could potentially happen.
Either way, it's a clusterfux of maces, and I absolutely love it.

I'm ill these days (virus epidemic), so I have some time to build. I present 8 in 1 this time :

=====================================================================================
#1
AW-A better "Centrifugal Force" clone
124.9
DSA
1 pink
still bumples around when flipped
I dunno why built this. Perhaps I wanted to have one of these...
=====================================================================================
#2
AW-Touch my hairy balls
123.1
DSA
2 pinks
invertible
It uses the UFO setup, an average bot, but it have problems when inverted - the weapons become too heavy and make him bow sometimes.
=====================================================================================
#3
AW-SnS
122.2
plastic
2 pinks
invertible
Believe it or not, this little weasel is actually very good. It's not so easy to hit one of his unprotected parts, as You may think...
=====================================================================================
#4
AW-The prodigy
124.5
DSA
2 pinks
can srimech
The snapper have troubles sometimes to get back to his start position for the next hit, but if You ignore this, it's a very proper true hammer AW bot.
=====================================================================================
#5
AW-SnS 2
124.9
plastic
2 pinks
invertible
I cloned "6-pack", tested it, then tested this, and I can say for sure, that this bot is better and it's a damn good AW bot.
=====================================================================================
#6
AW-The prodigy v2
123.7
plastic
3 pinks
can srimech
I exchanged the DSA and the castor for a third pink and a 20 cm longer hammering extender (it's 60 now). But the first version is better IMO.
=====================================================================================
#7
AW-The mosquito face
124.5
plastic
1 pink
invertible
Very good at ramming, but it needs to accelerate to a fast speed, and he slows dramatically after the first minute.
=====================================================================================
#8
AW-Charge
124.4
plastic
1 Nifty
invertible
Sidebots can't turn, aside from that, it's a very good rammer.
=====================================================================================

@ ianh05 :
As I promised :

And I'm not joking around, start choosing which bots You will want for your pack. A general advices : your problem is, that You are stuck with that chassis with one pink. Experiment with a new chassis, and use AT LEAST 2 pinks. One pink start to sux after the first minute, and that's why SC AWs owned You. Quit the art AW bots with a strange and ineffective weapon setups too.

@ Squirrel_Monkey :

"I'm in the 1WD club since 2008."-Venko said and took a bite from that cookies... My point was, that the 1WDs and the crawlers have disadvantages and can lose, so no point of fearing them so much, unless You are Naryar...

@ J :
I don't build stock from yesterday... When I build, I always have the collision meshes ON, so I can see if a mace is hitting the floor or it's above the top. So my answer is NO. The maces don't make "red dmg numbers", due to the castors on the bottom and the ramplate on the top, they prevent the self dmg. The funny thing is, that they still can "move" it when it is inverted. Plus, most of the time the bot is on the other bot doing dmg to him. In all my testings (a lot of testing), somehow I never lost a wheel, the ramplate or a more than 2-3 maces. It's like this : the other bot manage to hit my "weak spot" and I lose very fast, or I own him very hard. This bring the question, what would happen, if I remove this "weak spot" (a better maces setup, that protects better the discs and the most exposed extenders). BTW, the bot can't get stuck, 'cos the holding snappers can fire and spread the discs.
