As usual, Venko, you leave Me in a state of awe as to how you make such crazyness.
speaking of which, what are you holding down the HPZs with? Anchors? Snappers? What? O,o
On the chassis itself.
HPZ > Extender > HPZ > Extender > HPZ > Disc > Iron.

I tried making a triple chain once, couldn't figure out space management though. Well done.

Probably the worst bot in this showcase, showcased only for inspiring purposes.

Out of curiosity, Venko, can that bot clear pits?
Wait, no, silly question- You AI your bots to test them.

Generally ^, usually I pretend "AI acting" pretty well, but once I did some very basic AI for my NF outwedging bot, so he outwedge (not 100% of the tries tho) NF AI vs AI in a direct wedge-wedge contact.

Here is the answer :

Only the plastic one can 1HKO the NWB, but the others are pretty good too.
Also, quit the baby queering about the stacking, 9 anchors is not that hard.

To avoid the thinking, that maybe I'm lying  :mrgreen: :
Since it's a secret, I will say only, that it's different and with some small innovations, not a clone.
Here are the test results of version 3 :
AI vs AI, CombatArena, hazards OFF, 10 matches per start spot.
When NF was in the "disadvantage spawning/start point" :
NMA3 WIN===CIRCLE DANCING===NF WIN
===6===========3===========1===
When I was in the "disadvantage spawning/start point" :
NMA3 WIN===CIRCLE DANCING===NF WIN
===5===========3===========2===
On this stage, even the smallest detail is important to find the "golden middle" of outwedging.
However, I think, that there is a pretty huge room for an upgrades (better wedges) on my bot, I'm just too lazy to experiment with all (A LOT) the stuff that defines the best wedges.
Back in the days (2008-2009), I had "HW-Da popup" version *something*, that was able to outwedge NWB, it even have a good chances today, it's slightly outwegded by NF, but it's a tank popup (armoured at paranoid levels), so it do well vs HSs.
NMA3 was built after my come back, I didn't know about the NF before my come back, I thought, that "HW-Da popup" will be enough for future, but I was wrong.
And some trivia for a final : the name came after the first test, I saw that it's good and said happily :
"Nuclear my ass!"

I have a new interesting news. I was building a regular SHW for "Heavy Metal" (a normal VS (not with chained spinners)) bot with "supposed to be" an average wedges. When suddenly the luck striked me, and when I tested the bot, I stayed stunned for some time. Accidently, the wedges become better than NMA3 or anything else, I achieved the "wedges stucked/sinked into the ground slightly" bug, this are the ultimate wedges, nothing outwedge them even once in all my testings. Even if I fire the snappers, when the wedges get back on their place, they are sinked again. But this was not everything, accidently again, I achieved 1 non chained HP Z-Tek to spin as fast as 2 HPs chained, but it reach his max top speed almost instantly, and can't be stoped easily like a chained motors. The setup for this is also VERY stable, when I start to loose weapons. HW-Baikonur tossed the car rarely, but with this bot with an unspeakable wedges, and with a few spinners with weapons (it don't have a lot of spinners), I'm able now to toss the car around like a crate, always (also 2000+ dmg per every touch of a single weapon). I can post some pics, but of course that they will be censored. I'm going now to apply all this new knowledge to my new HWs, MWs, etc. bots. GG, everyone go home. As for now, I will have to build a new bot for "Heavy Metal".

Oh good, more colour text.

I achieved the "wedges stucked/sinked into the ground slightly" bug

Would it be allowed in tournaments, as it's a bug/glitch/whatever?

I can post some pics, but of course that they will be censored.

Why would they be censored?

I'm going now to apply all this new knowledge to my new HWs, MWs, etc. bots. GG, everyone go home.

- wants more stock robots and tournaments and stuff
- tells everyone to go home because he's going to win it all
- profit

In case, if someone see this huge plain text and decide that's maybe not interesting, I use a colorful text from like 2008, it's not against the rules, you know...
Would it be allowed in tournaments, as it's a bug/glitch/whatever?
It's snapper, extenders, extenders...wedge. Nothing more special, so they will have to forbid all the wedges then.
Why would they be censored?
- wants more stock robots and tournaments and stuff.
Yes, I just don't want to show my best stuff for now. It's my right, you know... So yeah, I prefer to keep my best stuff secret, but to not win (maybe) every stock tournament (just a maybe). It's bad for me mostly, so I don't see what is your problem with that.
- tells everyone to go home because he's going to win it all
gg everyone go home

If Pwn can joking sometimes, so I can too. The problem is in the double standart (not smart people) on this forum, if Pwn said it - it's a joke, but if I said it - it's not. It's called a "bias", and it's the reason for the half of the flame wars at least. Also, it's on a SHW for now, I don't have it on HWs etc. bots for now.

Pretty much all the occasions I encountered a bot having wedges sinking underground, the other bot does as well (should it have wedges), so it will still be a wedge war. :<

Nice to someone being able to do it consistently, though.
Clash Cubes 1 - Grey Matter (Runner-Up)
King of Karnage - Sideshow Freak (Runner-Up, Best Engineered)
Rust In Pieces - Paper Cut 3 (Grand Champion, Most Dangerous Bot)
Wheely Tag Tournament - Ion Thruster (Grand Champion, along with Ounces' DiSemboweLment)
UK vs USA - Dark Striker (Grand Champion)
Rust In Pieces 2 - Claymore (Runner-Up, Favourite Bot)
BBEANS 6 - Infection 4 (Runner-Up)
RA2 Team Championships - Serious Business, Skeksis (Runner-Up, along with Scrappy, S_M, and Badnik)
RA2 Team Championships 2 - The Other Stig (Runner-Up, along with Scrappy, S_M, Badnik, 090901, and R1885)
Replica Wars 3 - Abaddon (Runner-Up, Luckiest Bot)
BroBots - wheebot & yaybot (Runner-Up)
Robo Zone 2 - Dipper (4th place, Survival Champion, & Best Axle Bot)
ARBBC - The Covenant (3rd place, BW Rumble Winner, Most Feared BW)

OK, now every bot of me with wedges have "that magic wedges". Now even my VSes "outwedge" the NF (the enhaced VSes are supposed to be highly unstable and to had a bad wedges). It's not a scifi from now on :
This happens 10 out of 10 times, so yeah, it have probably a better wedges than NMA.

Merging my old posts instead of a multi-posting :

Pretty much all the occasions I encountered a bot having wedges sinking underground, the other bot does as well (should it have wedges), so it will still be a wedge war. :<
Can't remember such a strange thing, but in my testings, only the my bot was with sinked wedges, so dunno what you are talking about.
Nice to someone being able to do it consistently, though.
However, even when I failed to sink the wedges, I still outwedge NF, so it's still a win. As for the rapid spin bug, it's very easy to replicate, so it works, the only problem is, that the setup for it is very heavy, the advantage is, that it achieves it's max speed way faster than 2 chained HPs, and it's not so easy to stop, since nothing is chained.

Dat Grenade....
....is a "rape train" :

In case, if someone didn't check out the archive.

:facepalm:
I just discovered that I had "StarCore version: latest 4" all the time, and tought this is SC3...
Going to film my tournament now.

Is this consistent enough to occur on most of the bots you're gonna build from now on? If so, SWEET.

Nope, rarely. Go watch the NvsF videos, it havoked 1 or 2 times for the whole tournament.

I'm going to say "yes". It occur on every bot of me with a wedges lately, plus, when was the last time when you saw an enhaced VS to totaly outwedge the NF? But the good news are 2 :
1. I don't plan to enter anywhere for now with a super wedgy bot;
2. I'm testing now my "superb wedges recipe" to see, is it not just a very lucky random coincidence. And it's not. I just need some more experiments with all the ingredients, 'cos I plan to reveal my secrets and post a detailed tutorials before I leave permanently.

I will have to (I also want to stay, but...), when I start a job and concentrate on IRL stuff.

If this is another thing that only works on your copy of the game I'll be really mad though.
Impossibru, so don't worry  ;) I can rar and release my RA2 copy, but I'm 100% sure, that the variations from a player to player are PC hardware based only, so there is no point, but if there is enough interest, no problem to do it, who knows, maybe I unlocked somehow some very rare bug  :smile:

I was not much around lately, busy with putting an order in my bots exported folders, so I can say now for sure, that my "ALL EVER VENKO'S BOTS RAR" is ready for releasing to the public  :smile: It contains EVERY new or old bot of me, ANY, even the most secret one, if something is not in the archive, this means that it's totaly lost forever. It was 1 very long week of unfair fight with : checking/testing, exporting, removing anti-ballasts, adding names/renaming, wireing, finishing unfinished bots, deleting duplicates, sorting by some criterias, adding bots previews, and so so on...

I can get back to the building now. I'm a bit bored from RA2, but I still build :

An art bot. GF with akimbo crowbars. I exported the texture directly from the HL1 Gordon model.

I'll not release my bots for now, cos I'm not leaving for now. And always remember, that I will not leave without saying goodbye to the forum.
