Wow, so much Warhammer40000, I'm wondering if you have an un-show cased bot named "Blood Thirster" back there. Dreadnaught looks effective as it is cool looking. Honor Guard is well designed, I honestly have not seen a poll spike in side a iron. Your bots look like the might just get you far in a tournament.

these bots are from my 'chaos' team. I'm making an Eldar after this one.

This bot is slightly underpowered for its weight but it was still relatively effective in the battles... the main focus is... the skin... so smooth.. yes..

The hammer setup is good.  But,

"slightly underpowered" More like slightly overpowered.  2 Supervolts is enough for that bot, 3 is plenty.

2 HP Z-teks is the same as 4 regular Z-teks, except it weighs way less.  Upgrade at least two of the drive motors to HP.

Add more armor/spikes to the front, the corners are extremely vulnerable right now.

To lack feeling is to be dead, but to act on every feeling is to be a child.

HPs wont fit in my case :(... I can however mod it a bit maybe make 2 of the wheels outside of the bot.

I skinned this bot then just threw stuff in it just so I could show off the paint jorb :) thnx for the info click.

ztecs replaced with hps, removed one bat and re-placed another.. changed the shinies to grannys for invert-ability.. revamped the front bumper with tons of little razors as you can see.

Actually looks pretty cool. Try and shrink the chassis a bit more and maybe stack some of the batts and get more spikes for the front.

I know the name needs a little work.

This is my first antweight... go easy :)

do I really need to list the parts?

The angle motor is tilted at about 20 degrees.

Why do base-plate anchors weigh so bloody much???

Also why cant I stick my spike right on the motor?!

Anyways whataya think?

Chassis is too large. Disect one of the AW drillbots in SCv3 to learn how to do them correctly.

do you have to be so blunt?

nowhere in the process of creativity do I remember seeing copying something else.

btw I like making really realistic bots... not stacking sh** on sh** and through other sh**.

I will check out one of the bots from SCv3.

Happy n00b question day. This is like the balance of the world. It is nearly the same as asking why the rabbit doesn't eat the fox. Just accept it and live with it. Bots are better in stock because of glitches, and DSL was made to be more realistic. If you havn't noticed, most of the parts (NPC-T64, Perm, E-teks, etc.) are real parts. That is why there is a realistic rule.

lol it was a rhetorical question... I know about the glitches and I know its been tuned into a fine art with some/most of you guys I'm just saying you guys act like it is AGAINST the rules to try to build an effective/realistic bot in stock... thats all.

SB it is NOT a n00b question.

Well... we glitch in Stock because it is unrealistic. See DSA and some parts unbalanced? We use multiple razors rather than a sledgehammer because it's more efficient.

DSL is more realistic; even if you can use the same glitches than in Stock (but good luck if you use DSA), you can actually use a sledgehammer rather than multiple razors and it's possibly better on a spinner.

These are just... customs, strongly implanted within the community. Don't be surprised if you go against them, as several newbies do.

I wasn't going against them or trying to.. I was mainly wondering why I get my balls busted for not glitching when I made the AW.

Mainly because it was bad. The chassis is too large, the weapon is inefficient, it is off-centred, and the battery supply is too low. Remember: 90% of the time, we're not actually busting your balls. Friendly advice does not work well over the internet. It usually just ends up sounding like flaming, as my first post probably did.

All I was saying was to study some of the more effective AW's to see:
a) How you can fit everything into such a small package.
b) What weapons are more/most effective.
c) How to set up weapons and such.

--General rant aimed at no one in particular time--

In my opinion, "creativity" on the part of sub-par builders is total BS. On more than one occasion I have seen new builders rejecting advice from vets because they "wanted to be creative." Basically, what it means is that you don't need this advice because you are obviuosly already sooooo gooooood. What a lot fail to understand is that we're not trying to stifle creativity. Far from it, actually, we want creativity above all else, but what seperates creativity from what these people do is basically effectiveness. 99% of the time, these "creative" bots are crap. They flat out suck. What we're trying to do is help their skills along so that they can eventually be able to come up with new designs, to be creative. Look at Clickbeetle. Probably the most skilled builder around, many would say that he is the most creative builder on these forums. Why? Because he can blend effectiveness and style seemlessly (see: Ultimate Sacrifice, Frag Beetle 2, Heroic Sacrifice). So remember: It's not that we don't want you to be creative, we just want to give you the basic skills you need in order to be.

--End rant--
