Title: Thyrus` rarely updated Stock showcase

++Don`t expect something very special++

This showcase will go down pretty fast I guess. The limit of stock components and the huge batts makes it hard to build good IRL designs. but here are some bots.


the bot on the top is a HW called Stockosaurus
the Axebot is called Methos and is a MW
the double Agent lookalike bot is a LW
and the bot on the bottom is a Antweight and is called Dig. It was originaly build for the first Combatants.

Dino looks tremendous. AW looks adorable. I reckon the other two could benefit from a good skin job, I do like how you've done the spikes on the axebot.

It´s an invertible vertical spinner. it`s basicly a modified version of Vertikiller that finished as runner up in Jonzus Robot Wars series 8 Stock edition some time ago.

and it spinns

I see do you usually get inspiration of other people or are you like me sometimes and get these ideas from boredom.

Depends.
Somethimes I get inspired by real life robots. sometimes by stuff other people buld (Ryu-Kishin was originaly based on NFX` Valid Query). Sometimes I see objects and try to use theire shape to build a bot. and in Gojiras case I just wanted to buld a vertical spinner to beat Badniks butt

i didn't know how to raise components inside the base chassis until I joined gtm :S

I just pluged in my old external hard drive to see if I can find some bots in there and BOOM!

My old Delarious series where I tried to give each bot a different flipper type
and also Walking Tal! That was my FIRST bot that I got running.
Gotta see if my Beast of Bodmin is somewhere in there as well

The choice of liftiing/flipper mechanisms didn't allow for simmilar Designs I guess :)
They were all made back in 07. That's about 9 years of RA2 for me I guess.

I found  another bunch of old bots but sadly not the one I was looking for.

Okay, that is actually pretty cool.  Unsure of what the E-Wedge does for the 'replica' side, but for practical sakes, it's interesting.
