The 'Mazakari can't built stock' showcase.

Right. As soon as I found DSL, I've used it completely exclusively, so I can't rememeber the last time I loaded up some stock to build with.

The tournament set up by ianh05 gave me some motivation to do so, and MY GOD I DON'T LIKE IT HELP.

on the AW you really dont need those casters. the best defense is a good offense.

the rear spike on the BW is also useless. concentrate you weapons to the front unless you intend on making a sns (which i take it you arent). your wheels also shouldnt be inside the chassis like that since you are wasting chassis weight.

Give us a screenshots of the insides and tell us the weight and the armour You chosen.
You don't need to build IRL in stock, You can overlap as many parts as You want.
As for these bots, they are compact and an average for now, try to put more weapons and more dmg dealing weapons.
Also, check the tutorials around which parts to use and which not.
Some part in stock are totally crap.
And I like the coffin BW, as an art.

Not bad at all for a start!!

The AW could definitely benefit from a smaller chassis. With a smaller chassis, you could add another weapon if you intend to retain the casters.

The BW is a different design from the standard. I can't help but to think the bot would be much better with both weapons on the front of e bot. Chassis could be smaller on this one as well. Also, pole spikes are pretty sucky.

The LW is a nice attempt at a suitable FS. Could use some more protection or a wedge with that setup. Weight can be gained by choosing shines for wheels and a smaller, form fitting chassis.

Ah, yes, apologies for not including any weights and internal shots. I was in a rush to upload and post before I left for work.

Anyway, I've spent the last hour or so taking on board some of the comments and have rebuilt Bolt and Point Blank.

Not gonna be fun trying not to stick parts on for show (like the pointy spikes) and not adhering to my beloved realism.

OK SO...

- In both cases, smaller chassis are needed
- Disc fully exposed horizontally = BAD
- Stock is not like DSL.....more pinks = more bad, stick to 1 nifty in LWs as standard, 1 supervolt in MW, 2 supervolt in HW.....
- Stacking is your friend

- I shrunk the AW chassis to as small as I could get it while still being able to fit stuff in there. I literally could not shrink it anymore.

- I cannot fit larger batteries in there and still fit the  ing control board and drive and literally EVERYTHING ELSE in there, while still keeping the chassis as small as I can get.

- I have no idea what stacking is.


How the is it feasible to say that I need a smaller chassis, but a larger battery than the one that I'm using? Am I just retarded?

Just make your chassis bigger to accommodate the battery. When people tell you to make a smaller chassis, they mean leave less empty space in the chassis, which usually means making the chassis smaller. As for stacking, Sage has an excellent series of short videos explaining various stock glitches, which I recommend you check out.

Don't quit. You have skills, your bots have a cool style, cool skins, small chassis, You get the concepts of the bot types and so... The only thing You need is to exchange some components and that's it. If You can't stack and do glitches, You can do rammers and pokers for now. For example, the SoZ bot needs only:
exchange the wedge for the other small one;
use a black battery instead of all these pinks;
use a snapper2 instead of s. II;
put a ramplate in the front;
use the DSA
and that's it. It's not that bad for a start.

For your AW, try to replicate this chassis:

You can stack a pink battery in the CB and place the CB under the drive motors you also only need 1 baseplate anchor to mount the razors by using 2 extenders, one facing out with a razor on the end and one going horizontal on the end-most side attachment point and placing 2 razors going outward in-line with the first razor.

Do all this and you will most likely save enough weight for a 4th razor with can be attached just like the first one facing outwards and going back towards the chassis.

Please don't give up on stock yet, we need all the builders we can get
