Chassis could be shrunk a little bit. Plus you should try to have a single DDT Wedge instead of a pair of SnapperII ones.

DDT Wedge > Snapper2 Wedge > SnapperII Wedge

That's the general rule of thumb, but there are cases where this doesn't hold. For instance, all my wedges are terrible.

I tried each one in turn and the wheel protection made it about 430 and the Irons made it about 400-405. I failed again.

Could you apply snapper loading anywhere to further shrink the chassis? And the chassis doesn't have to be a square, make it any shape you want to minimise weight. For example, Wedgecutter has an extra bit at the back for a black, my more recent designs have a space at the back of a snapper for snapper loading.

Try redbirds for drive, VSes don't need to be fast.
