Skeletar, castor armor only works if the castor is showing outside the chassis, where it can actually protect the chassis. If the chassis surrounds the castor, it becomes useless.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

Ah...

Well, guess I'll fix that up then.

A good example of castor armor is a bot like this:

The caster armour thing only works if the casters are poking outside the bot enough, I mean like half out, and it works best if you build up a sort of wall of casters so that it actually works like armour. Yours arn't.

I can tell theres is a small slope but its not big enough for bots to go up is it? Naryar means a full on wedge at the front, so that robots ride up it and over your flipper(s). If you put weapons under the wedge, you'll have built whats called a 'popup'. And on the flipper front, one is unlikley to be enough.

EDIT: Urjak beat me on the caster front...
Good evening.

Well one of the basic rules in RA2 is : Anything attached directly to the chassis cannot be destroyed (infinite hitpoints i think).

As a result if you put a relatively thick wall of casters (think of them like bricks) OUTSIDE your bot, it will provide invincible armor at this point.  They will stop all hits and prevent your chassis from being hit (of course it will not protect un-castered areas). That is caster armor.

I say: OUTSIDE. A caster inside your chassis won't help.

EDIT: AAAH both of Weirdo and Urjak beat me to it !!!

The slopes not big enough to actually LET anything ride up the bot. But i have "fine-tuned" the flipper to send them straight into the weapons at the top.

It can also automatically flip right-side-up when up-side-down. Lol.

But yeah, I got to fix the casters, the slope, and most of the weapons. And if I can somehow make a " pop-up ", that might help out the bot a little. I think...

Also, caster armor helps in stock to prevent nasty pop-ups from gut ripping you, most of the time.

You should find out what a  'juggler' is aswell, I think thats what your bot most closley reassembles, in that its meant to flip bots onto its weapons.
Good evening.

His bot is not that close to a Juggler, as he would need weapon motors. He might be better off with a Wammer, or wedged rammer.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

That is certainly not a juggler, and not really a wammer... since it doesn't "rams".

It's a flipper with static weapons... but how could be call that ?

Then would't baseplates be used for armour?

They are too small, and you really can't stick them out of a chassis.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

Mainly if you choose the top green rectangle and put it in the bottom (atleast a third is poking out).

They're too awkward for that, and the surface area of a caster is bigger, so they're more useful overall.

And I only said it was like a juggler cause I was making a comparison. Jugglers use flippers to lift a bot onto their disks, right? I was just thinking the idea behind Skely's was that its meant to flip bots onto its own static weapons, thats all.
Good evening.

That is only in DSL, where castor armor seems to be frowned upon. You are right however, it would work to an extant, but they are simply too small.

EDIT: Weirdo, Jugglers do not use flippers to get opponents onto their weapons, they just use wedges.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

New bot...

Commander P.A.I.N
Warrior-class
I didn't really use/do anything special on this one. Except for the spinning iron in the middle. The two overhangs SHOULD be used on big bots for icreased effectiveness. The bot itself needs time to keep stable when both the overhangs are spinning. But yeah...I think its pretty good. I also need that many batteries if I want to keep the whole thing powered for a match. lol

Can't you fit any blacks in there? One black can power four HPZs, so you can, and should, use them to power the wheels. I also don't think you need the spinning iron at the front, and those razors are useless as they won't hit anything.
Good evening.

Don't use those batteries. The black ones are much better for their weight.
