ShowerDough's Half-baked Showcase
« on: October 01, 2013, 02:43:04 PM »
Yay I have a new showcase!

This is the first bot i've made since reinstalling the game. It has no custom paint or anything, but it does its job. The stock HW robots stand literally no chance at all, so I suppose I need to go install some mods.

Welcome to the forums.

No offence but generic name yet very interesting design. It'll be interesting to see what the higher-ups think.
Old Stock Showcase: https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=6590.0

I've moved to other forums. Under a different name. This is where it all began.

it certainly looks creative! is it some sort of flipper/hammer hybrid? cant really imagine the ramplates on the back doing much though.

if you look around this section you can find starcore v3, and v4 should be in mods & designs somewhere.
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

i cant quite tell what it is, but it looks pretty awesome. although the feeder wedge is a bit weak with just a ramplate. it would be a lot easier if you showed us the insides of the bot too

i think it'd be pretty cool if you tried your hand at dsl aswell
DSL Showcase

In case you all haven't heard, he's from the old forums.

I'm sure he knows the name is generic, RPJK.

Anyway, cool bot. Good to have some more veteran blood roaming the forums and actually building.

Im ok with generic names, its sort of a generic bot.

it certainly looks creative! is it some sort of flipper/hammer hybrid? cant really imagine the ramplates on the back doing much though.

It has 2 attack modes; It can either force robot up the front ramp then hammer with spikes or drive around backwards and ram things. The plates are all for armor. Its specially good for royal-rumble type matches.

i cant quite tell what it is, but it looks pretty awesome. although the feeder wedge is a bit weak with just a ramplate. it would be a lot easier if you showed us the insides of the bot too

You got it boss
Hope you dont mind i took the armor off, you cant really see anything with it on. Just the supports and a few weapons as well as base components.
Oh the chassis is DSA, dont think I mentioned that.

Looks really cool! I know Sage is going to kill you for the gratuitous red extenders though XD

First things first I believe despite their lower HP razor tips do better as popup weapons, though if you want to make it a hammer the weapon should be longer.

Of course if you want to keep it the same that's cool too. It just looks so cool right now, I'm afraid any advice I give is going to ruin the look :P

Yeah, he has some sort of personal vendetta against red extenders for whatever reason. No worries though, most of us like to troll him with it :P

looks cool, reminds of some of the stuff that was made in 2008 and earlier. those wedges would have to be setup on individual burst motors if you want them to be any good though.

I could probably do that pretty easily, just swap spikes for razors should give enough weight

Aww thanks . Naryar your avatar is epic.

Little update, I'm rebuilding razorback (and coming up with another name) and also working on another design.

I will do that when I rebuild it. I may be a few days; I'm redoing that one from scratch.

This is my latest Lancer bot, Lancer III. The armored turret has a reduced number of pistons to allow the addition of a traversing mechanism to eliminate out-of-reach areas.
I added significantly to its ramming/spinning ability with the mass of front weapons and armor plates.
It's a bit experimental; Certain combinations of angle/traverse cause havok explosions. It also uses air quickly despite the large tank (lolservopiston).

Interiors. Turret is traversed fully forward. (sans armorplates)

Very cool.

although i'm surprised the 2 burst pistons on a servo on a servo piston aren't self-raping your bot every time you play.
