My chassis is better !

I bet you could use the rear snapperII AP's with even more snapper loading rather than anchors for the axes.

Heh, I have to agree. I didn't figure that out at the time so I wasted about 5 inches of space. it gets bashed in the rear sometimes because of the excess :P. I'm still trying to master spinners though, so I guess it's a step.

New bot for the weekend. First pop-up... Capable of eliminating other starcore pop-ups, but I don't know if it's a good bot or a disgrace to all other pop-ups (If it is, please lay it gently ;P)
Terribly underweight, especially since black batt stacking didn't go as planned... three stacked pink batts in the front supply an almost-sufficient power supply. Highlights of the design include snapper loading, which I learned recently, stacked batteries, and a better-fitting chassis.

BotType: Pop-up

frontal armor, 4wd, and black stacking should help a lot.

Is there a better way of attaching frontal armor than just anchors with ramplates?

You could use the extenders on the Snapper2s

that is the best because it makes your wedges better because of frontal weight on the chassis. you could also do castor armor.

Sagey sagey...

pure popups dont need armor.

Looks good SA, but youmight wanna keep those wedges wide. saves weight and probably are better that way. go to 3 razors each and try and just use one blue snapper for the stacking. then we will see where you are weight wise, we could get this down to a MW.

Weight: 791.5 kg

I fixed it according to Sage's advice (It worked!) Frontal armor is pretty useful because I'm not used to driving pop-ups rather than spinners.

InfiniteInertia:
:D Thanks. I figured I would just use Emergency flippers, since they fill the whole front. There are already 3 razors on each DDT. Bringing the first version down to an MW would be cool. I could just use one snapper and squish the chassis in, too.

Use small wedges. They're much better, as proved by CB in his thread.

Okay, I fixed  the wedges on the bot. Thanks for the advice.

I just finished another version, too :). This one has better 4WD and wider side armor. Same two black batteries. It's honestly still not enough, but I can't figure out how to stack the third yet.

WAY better than the 2. One flaw through: the front has no side armor.

I really don't have much weight left, so I think I'll just reverse the blue snapper that is holding the two side plows (The axle of the snapper is facing up.) Most bots are thin enough to fit through.
