Well, because of the maces collision mesh, I upgraded 28 to maces, and it works waaaaaaay better. I've also been fooling around with "freak" bots lately as experiments of sorts. My latest creation is an FBS inspired by the Beetlebros called SlideWynder:

It has:
-chained HPZ weapon drive
-2 black batteries
-DSA
-12 iron spikes

Wheels don't work on these bots, so chewblades etc. are needed. I'm going to change the chewblades to discs with iron spikes for a little more protection.
Aside from the obvious design flaws, and fact that is fairly inneffective against SC, what do you guys think?

I'm guessing the "snapshot" in the corner isn't the same bot. Also, what weight class are you going for?

The snapshot in the corner is an earlier revision of this bot.

I wasn't really going for any class, but I can trim it down to a MW in about 15 minutes.

Yea, RS. Can you make a small vid so we can see it in action?
I'd like to see how the weapons work; and how it navigates, cause the computer uses the chassis for its heading reference. But it looks like the chassis would be spinning with it's spikes flying...

Thats actually really cool. How does it do against Starcore? I would think the motors would get chopped off quickly.

Yeah, it's not really made to battle SC bots, but it's decent against stock.

I made a new LW too, yay.

Brownie points for you if you guess the setup. If no one gets it, I'll post it.

That snapper must be at baseplate level... the controal board stacked somewhere...damn its tricky indeed. I can see how the z-tek is mounted (again excess of snapper loading) and perhaps the plow then, but these right angles... there's certainly not a tri-extender involved... damn.

i think i got it. snapper is 2 notches up. there is one extender pointing down off the top attachment point. attached to the bottom of that, an extender points backwards into the snapper. on the front of that extender, the HPz is attached. now there is a 40 cm coming off the "secret" attachment point, which points forward. a T connector is on the top of that, with 20 cms on either side. the 20 cms point up, and the bottom attachment holds the drive motor. the 40 cm had the plow.

i think i got the drive wrong, but even if i did, they would look exactly the same. i tested.

Well, you are wrong anout the drive, but you did get the HPZ setup right.

Here's the setup for the drive (4 20cm extenders):

With your setup, I believe it would be overweight.

I forgot to mention earlier that this bot has DSA.

Nice one! I thought that was way harder. simple and efficient.

I still dont understand even one bit of snapper loading.

EDIT: but it has a hard time turning, no?

Nice bot. Does it woble at all? I would imagine when you lose a mace or something you wouldnt be able to drive.

IT'S A WORKING HELICOPTER!! YAYY!!

Not a serious bot at all. It uses the trinity glitch and gets up to a high enough speed with the one HPZtek to take flight suprisingly quickly.

IF it hits, it's damaging, but that's very rare.

I like flyers :D

EDIT: I'll post some action/battleshots later today if I get around to it.
