finally made a new chassis lolololololol

DSA, and it's moderately wedgy. Can't kick serious ass because the poker is too close to the icepicks, and I can't modify the setup because the piston would be either too high or too far away from the icepicks (making the piston longer would recreate the problem). But it can kick slightly less serious ass, so I guess it's fine for a proof of concept.

Pretty cool, although the way it's designed it doesn't really offer any tangible advantages over other MW gut rippers.

Does look very cool. Is it the rule of 7 or weight constraints that prevent the piston being moved back? I reckon mounting it 20cm back would allow you to just tap the opponent, rather than giving them a big kick.

Actually the extender that's holding the piston is 40cm and it's angled a notch upwards. Had the extender been horizontal, the piston would scrape the floor and cause steering problems. If I extend that to 60cm, the icepicks wouldn't cover the razors at all, which forces me to use a longer piston, which in turn creates the same problem the original bot has :v

What's that? LW version, you say? I don't see why not!

DSA, 80cm piston. It doesn't drive straight, but the AI will fix that. Also, as of that battleshot, it only has one pink (partially stacked with the CB). I'll get the second one stacked when I'm patient enough. :P

And yeah, I'm thinking that would make a nice rebuild for Photon as well.

Since R0B0 posted his Glue Factory, I decided to rebuild my angled poker with my own modified setup (the old one was too unwieldy and the bot was unnecessarily large as a result), and it's much better than the old one. And yes, that's 2 Nifties and 3 stacked tanks, because I'm too lazy to build my own chassis. :P

hey pwn, how do you attach casters as far as that? i tried to do that, but the casters just popup a little.

Smaller casters can be raised higher into the bot's chassis and still be attatched

no, i meant that how can pwn attach the casters that exposed to the front? when i tried it on a U-shaped chassis, the casters just popup a little bit before the game won't let me attach.

lol I didn't even do that. That chassis was from Inf's Wipeout and I left the drive and the casters on.

But yeah, the best way to make a castered slope is to use the smallest casters. And make sure your chassis panels aren't warped (a.k.a. don't slope your panel in more than one direction or it will make both sides uneven).

so, it's impossible to do on a U-Shaped Chassis?

it's possible to do it on any type of chassis. just try to stick the casters out as far as possible.

yes, i mean that when i tried to do it, the casters can only be sticked out about a pixel from the chassis before the game don't let me attach anymore.

Just post the chassis in your showcase and we'll know what's up.

Meanwhile, a minor update to the MW:

Made the piston longer and upgraded the weapons so it packs a better punch. Icepick's anchor is slightly exostacked.

Also, the LW now has the second pink stacked. No other improvements aside from being able to last more than a minute now.
