That visible extender's just free weight. The setup's on the other AP of the snapper. I had 2.something kgs left, so I threw in an extender for annoying other bots. :P

Presenting: Pravus. Hot Wheel's chassis, but I removed all the other stuff, including one black. Would've been very cool, but it's just as bouncy as my BOTM entry (though both have great wedges), and it doesn't pwn SnSes and HSes unlike Swordfish. D:

Well it certainly looks cool. The extenders for the spike racks look exposed though.

And how can it be bouncy AND still have good wedges?

Do you just not spin the weapons until you're under the opponent?

The upper spike rack seems kinda useless, doesn't look like a bot would even touch it...

I don't really know. The bot wobbles laterally, but the wedges still hug the ground. It gets under Infra and Wipeout, if you're wonder how good the wedges are.

As for the top rack, I was supposed to clone Swordfish's rack as well, but they kinda act as motor protection at this length.

Speaking of bouncy wedges, here's Archetype:

2 blacks, and the tribar Z-Teks aren't bursted. And it's probably bouncier than Pravus, but it still gets under R4 most of the time. :D

I do that on my bots, adding extra extenders when finishing up a bot when I have bit of extra weight available. An extra extender in the right spot is extra armor.

I also do things like consider Rule of 7 and break up any long extenders into multiple segments (each segment having its own Hit Points). If an opponents weapon hits different segments on different hits then you have effectively increased the strength of the overall extender.

That still doesn't make any sense. The maces are on opposite ends of the discs, so there should be no reason for it to bounce. o_O

Maces ALWAYS bounce on VS, no matter if discs or tribars or what have you. The only VS weapons that really work are irons.

Ripped off High Entropy's chassis, and made this. Plastic, 1 black.

Those static weapons are actually quite handy in ripping off weapons from popups. :D

And if you thought Helix was my most awesome bot, think again (or maybe not. I couldn't decide as well :P).

Stengah (YES I KNOW I'M RUNNING OUT OF NAMES). 2 blacks, Snapper IIs stacked in a funny way (the arms were halfway through the snapper body o_O), 6 razors and 12 irons. And yes, the iron attachments are intended as such to prevent bots from flying too high so the bursts can still do their part. :D

That's a powerful burst to put on a popup/vs hybrid. I would have thought you would want to sorta even the two out. Who does it perform?

Also, seems like a lotta wasted weight on the extenders for the discs. thats like, 32kgs that could be 16

The VSes are quite handy when the bot is shuffling around for the bursts to look for the sweet spot. Most of the time the bursts get the final kill, but actually the irons do most of the wearing process. KO'd AC and Pandemonium in 2-3 seconds, just like a regular popup. Still couldn't KO Diamond IV in time, though (I can't figure out what makes it more deadly against wedges o_O).

Also, I've always wanted to have a disc VS with small reach, like light DS teeth so I don't have to have my motors so far out (and that makes them more exposed and also more unstable when a few irons are removed).

Maces = better against HS
Irons = Better against popups.

Me and inf did much testing :P
