Alright... I took the Psyclone challenge. However things didn't entirely go to plan, so I built two versions of the same robot.

I would like to introduce you to my first popup, Ad Block Plus, which is named after the ever popular ad-blocker for Firefox and Chrome/Opera/Safari. As I said before, I built two versions of the same robot.

The first is Ad Block Plus:

Three DDTs, eight razor tips (six upward and two sideways), Two Z-Teks, Two Supervolts and Aluminum armour (yes, I know... It completely skipped my mind to use DSA). The wedge lifts as well, thus increasing the bot's flipping ability

The second is Ad Block Plus 2.0, which is a 100% rebuild from scratch.

Three DDTs, eight razor tips, two HP Z-Teks, one supervolt, two small battery packs and DSA armour. Like the other version, the wedge lifts.

Both robots are middleweights.

I beat every single stock AI with the original, most in under a minute. I'm pretty sure that version 2.0 is competitive.

Not too bad. I prefer the second one, because it'll be easier to get under opponents, since it's faster. Plus, popups generally win matches quickly, so underpowering it isn't too much of an issue. I would prefer it if you used two 20cm extenders to get the wedge in the center, though, but that depends on how much weight you have left. And always use DSA, unless you want Plastic for LW and Sub-LW designs where weight is a serious issue.

Ad Block Plus is the best out of three, and you should upgrade that bot. Advice:1.Kick those razors near the DDT, it's not doing anything. 2.with that, get HP-Zteks and then extend the wedges 20cm more(and then congratulations! you've just finished the Pyscolone Popup Challenge!).

Alright. I'll try that.

Oh, I didn't really notice the razors near the DDT. Get rid of those, they're doing nothing but wasting weight. You might also want to turn the outer DDT's around, so the axle's nearer the center. That will give you a more concentrated area of attack.

What you could also do is stack the two Blackvolts together. It takes a little bit of trial and error, but that will allow you to get HPZ's in there with the removed razors, and centre up/extend the wedge at the front.

What i meant to say that you should rebuild it with DSA(or if you are lazy, you can BFE it.......)(and also to reduce le empty space in the supervolts)

And how would I do that? I've tried everything to get the supervolts to stack, to no avail.

I have the second battery placed exactly where the first one is (it's how I stack ants in DSL). It won't let me stack it.

Also, sorry for BMPing...

It doesn't attach EXACTLY in the same place as the first one. It attaches slightly off-center on one axis. It works a lot better if you attach it in a top-down view.

If you go to Overview and zoom as far in as possible, then go to Components, you can manouver the components with much more precision than normal. Just make sure you don't accidentally go over the bot viewing window, because then it will jump back out.

If I could give you a rep, I would. It helped me to the point of not needing to stack.

--> Make sure you're using the highest resolution.
--> Get a perfectly flat bird's-eye view on the chassis. It shouldn't look off-centre up, down, left, or right.
--> Go to either the Overview or the Chassis tab and zoom in all the way.
--> Switch to Components and attach the second battery. Make sure that the zoom doesn't change until after you attach it.

If it's still too difficult you can get movepixel.

If you do get the blacks stacked, you can go for a true Pys Popup by shrinking the chassis and attaching the four razors using two extenders for each DDT rather than one.

I like AD Block Plus better, because it has 2 Big volts instead of 1 Big volt and 2 pinks.
Keep it up, you will be even better in no time! :)
EDIT: oops, Ad Block Plus 2.0 doesn't have pinks anymore....nvrm.

Yeah. It was quite a pain to get those in between the HP Z-Teks.

dude, make the wedge longer by 20cm, or, if you don't mind being creative, use the left and right DDTs as wedges and then use the middle DDT for the weapon.

BTW, after this, there are 2 more (hard) challenges:
1.Fractures HS challenge(super hard)
Make a LW HS with RAD drive and 2 RADs for the weapon,6 maces,a snowplow, and DSA.
2.Poopup challenge
Make a HW Popup with 6WD HPz drive, (at least) 10 razors on 2DDTs, front armor, and DSA.

Offline Virus Bomb

the heck is the fracture hs challenge

sooooo you are telling him to put more razors one one ddt, adding more weight slowing it down and therefore doing less damage ?
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.
