I think the two back plows are a bit pointless. I'd remove them, and perhaps swap to Rubber Wheels, and maybe DDT Wedges if you can shrink the chassis a touch more.

How would I place those DDT'd?

Well, if your front "arms" are wide enough to fit Z-Teks, then a DDT should slide in there pretty well. If not, then you could widen them inward slightly until it does.

Am I the only person that freaking loves the looks of that?

Give it a full drum of razors running the full way across the bot, though.

First word of advice: Dont listen to FOTEPX.

Second: You have somewhat of an original feel going here. So do not deviate from it. If you want to keep the front armor/wedge as snowplows, then tilt them a teeeeensy bit like

       /        \
      /          \
     /            \

which will help the feed up the front of the bot. However, remember that snowplows are quite fragile. As NFX mentioned above, the way that the plows are right now are quite useless. If you aren't going to use at least one of them perpendicular to the grid to trap up top, then at least remove those both and double up on the front. Otherwise, make sure those extenders are protected and everything is space efficient...which by the looks of it, it already does. I don't even think you need to widen the wedges up front; if they are very effective then keep them as is. Widening the snowplows will naturally give it a wider feel. Otherwise, very nice product.

Well, I had already changed my bot radically before I read your post, might go back, might not. Before this change the wedges incrediblely sucked.

This is how it currently looks:

The wedges are sweet, but become utter sh** if I turn the weapon HP-ZTek right.

P.S.: Yes, it looks a lot like Neglected Waterbug now.

G.k. is right just keep them straight. It even looks better that way. How do the wedges suck? Green Snappers are the best wedges...what is the current weight?

And why is the snowplow up top angled like that? It should be close to perpendicular. Otherwise it looks very good, I just don't see why the wedges would have problems unless you just don't have the natural calibration for making them uBer yet.

I wonder if it's the corner of the snowplow prising the wedges off the ground. I can imagine the corner's further down than the flat edge was thanks to Pythagoras.

And DDT's normally give best wedges, I think due to the higher torque or something that they have. Snapper2's give a shallow angle, but you can do that with DDT's if you use a couple of extenders.

His latest bot has Green Snapper wedges, and it worked out pretty well.

Green Snappers do make for good wedges if they're positioned very well. On the whole, DDT's seem to make for better ones, unless there's something we haven't found yet.

Despite DDTs being better, Green Snappers take up a lot less space.

The HP-ZTeks are angled a bit. And indeed, the snowplows stick out a bit, which is why I have switched to ramplates before.

Here is a closeup picture from the side:

If I don't angle the HP-Zteks they stick through the plows.

if a bot gets to that little chunk of HPz sticking through that plow then you've already lost all your weapons and are screwed anyways

Uneven bot, useless back area, chassis space. That's what's wrong so far.
It's fix the asymmetrical placement, and then see if the wedge is done unevenly.
After that, Shrink it down.
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

Ahem, chassis space is near 5% or so.

Ok, the wedges are better now, still mediocre though. The snowplates no longer touch the ground using an extender. The HP-Zteks are no longer tilded and symmetric. The plow in the back was useless before, I hope the current placing is better. Something must be placed there or the HP-Zteks become too unstable.

EDIT: Oh did I say it is 23.8kg underweight?

If the wedges suck, try an external snapper placement to see if that's better.

With the spare weight, check if using rubbers improves the wedges as well.
