I did not read the thread so i do not know if someone already told you or not but do not choose any armor at all, after you make the chassis do not even click on the armor button. To much extra space, Do not use the car style turning motors(cant even remember what there called), Saws suck. Ill let someone else finish.

You seriously do need to look at that beetlebros site and other showcases. Your bot building skills will get a LOT better, cos I have to honestly say that that is not a good bot.

DSA. To get it, ignore the armor tap. Lighter than steel, but MUCH stronger.

Its a glitch where you don't click on the armour tab and you automatically get whats called DSA; Double Strength Aluminium. Its twice as strong as normal aluminium but the same weight. You can test to see if you have it by painting you robot black, if the black doesn't shine, you have it. BUT, if you've already applied armour to your bot, you can't get it, you have to start over.

I doubt he is Starcore level, or LRA2 level right now.

Listen: Download the RFS AI, then when you can beat them, get starcore 1.

Everyone else: I know he could Download Starcore straight away, but look at this guys bots! He needs to be eased into the fire, not burnt after his first post.

Here's another pretty general tip: build to the weight limit. Think of it this way. You have another 300 kilos to add more weapons. Same thing applies to Lightweights and Middleweights.

Gearbot reminds me of my first stock-killer HW, Big Box. Twin face spinner with 8 maces. Don't remember the wheels though. Drive was probably RAD. Hum. Should remake it.

Anyway, Gearbot sucks. Weapon is pretty poor, too much battery power, lots of weight left over, lots of chassis space left, not invertible, Redbirds are not so good...

Monster Truck... even worse. Weapon is kinda horrible - Saws are bad in Stock RA2, the motor is needlessly unprotected, more wasted weight, more wasted chassis space, the car steering unit is pretty crappy, and it's overpowered.

Really important stuff is bolded.

You can use High Power Z-teks - not only are these more powerful/faster, but you've got more than enough battery power for it. You should also avoid using car steering because this will hinder your ability to move. Do try to also make the chassis as small as possible so you can have more weight for more weapons. Like the others have said, build to the weight limit as well. Also, avoid using saws for weapons in Stock because they do very little damage and are very brittle. Also, you should try to protect your motors and chassis with ramplates or better yet snowplows However, I'm glad that you use black batteries on heavyweights.

Overall, at this point you suck, but if you follow the other forum members' advice, I believe that you might be capable of awesome things. The BeetleBros. website (http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm
) is a great place to start learning some of the techniques used by the top Stock builders, and I advise that you take a good look at it.

When you first start building you should look at other builder's bots and see how their bots are built. At first, you should try to replicate what they've done. However, as you get more skilled do try to find your own style.

Ignore the armor tap for better armor, I can't see whats hard.
Also, please use JPG or PNG for images. BMP images take for ever to load.

No.
In stock, realism is ignored. Pinks should only be used for ants, beetles, and maybe light weights. Axes are used for ramming. Snapper2s are used for wedges(Most of the time).

Two razors of coarse.
One thing, damage is calculated by adding the damage of weapons. I.E., two razors will do more damage than one ax.

Try seeing others showcases for ideas and try making similiar yourself.

And really, take a VERY good look at the page that R1885 posted on the first page on this topic.

I cant even get started on what there is to improve, because that would make too long list.

Chaining motors will increase RPM's but you'll lose torque as a result - causing acceleration to be severly hindered.

It's overall better than your other attempts, but to add on to what the others have said about it, the thing on top is wasted weight that could be used for better weapons, and even if you get rid of excess drive motors, they're still very exposed, which is not good.

Axebot is far too generic to be called out for a copied name like that. It just is.

For once LRA2 is mostly right. Axes.. well, they can be used for swinging weapons too, but they're used in rammers these days...

They are only slightly lighter than standard Z-teks and yet they aren't nearly as effective for the weight. You might've as well used RAD.

The wiki is horribly biased, and generally not a good source of info. It has decent rule-of-thumb stuff, but once you've passed that stage, it's a pretty bad resource.

I think that Redbirds are generally pretty good because they are much more powerful that RAD's, and two weigh 8 kg less than 2 regular Zteks, which is a huge amount at the LW level. For LW and some MW bots, I think Redbirds are fine.

If he's ever fought anything with any of his bots, he would know that they are bad.

You can adjust it at any time, an anchor you have to take off everything to adjust it. Plus, it'll be closer to the weight limit.

Not necessarily. Some bots barely need any power at all (which is why Click's Brown Wreckluse 2 can still rack up wins with only 2 pinks).

But yeah. Generally, most bots don't use pinks unless there is a weight/space constraint.

Okay.  Here's a few words of wisdom from Hypno.

1. Use DSA armor!  Whether you want to believe it or not, it is the strongest armor available.  So bypass the armor tab please.
2. Wheels could be on the inside of your chassis
3. Fill up space in the base plate. Build to the weight limit if ur building heavies.
4. Use components to protect ur chassis
5. Check out the RA2 techs on the beetlebros website.  (but I'm sure you've heard that about 10 times now.)

I actually deleted it when we had the non-updated forum but when GTM got updated, it seems to bring all the posts back or something.
