Almost perfect standard pyscolone popup. Try to get another 20cm parallel to the one on the middle DDT, so the wedge is more centralised.

Chassis is too steep, weapons should be in the center and if I'm not mistaken I see some space between the DDT's, shrink the chassis.

It doesn't matter if the wedge is not entirely in the middle, other you'll probably get too easily scooped by 2 wedge popups too.

Don't worry. Robot Wars Season 8 will be back on Janyary.

Though the Replicas are quite challenging opponents so it will be interesting. :P

I would swap the Angle connectors for 20cm's, personally. But as an IRL bot, it looks alright. Could do with a slightly more planned skin, though.

Also, the skin's asymetry makes it look bad IMO.

WreckTangle sucks but you wouldn't call it IRL.
 
With that in mind, Red Beast could look better with different spike placement.  Try putting four spikes, one at each front corner.  Or if you want to stick with three, put them in an evenly spaced row across the front.  The triangle arragement with the angle connectors looks... awkward.

DSA + 1 black batt, dunno what to do with the remaining 10 kg, tested against Starcore V3, defeats all the pop-ups, and quite a few HS, not the best against VS though.

anyway the bot could be better. Maybe put a tail on somehow?

Only need a Nifty for two spin motors. You can keep the SnapperIIs that way or you could rotate them 180 degrees and use a 20cm for the HP Z-teks so they're inside the chassis and the bot is more protected, though it will decrease spinning speed. You could also just use baseplate anchors for the weapon motors which may give you weight for a third motor.

If you find yourself with extra weight just upgrade weapons or add casters to the bottom.

ok i need to stop being so lazy and start showcasing bots as soon as i improve them

so i downgraded to a nifty and used a t connector on one snapper and i could put more weapons on, and i made a lw version of it:





the MW has a caster on the bottom, both dsa, they both also have the same set-up


thoughts?
