To help, we really need to see the insides, and a weight.

Naryar's gonna have a field day here.
(He has 'a thing' about empty space, and building to the weight limit I believe...)

welcome to the world of GTM and showcasing :-D

first helpful hints are as follows

dont make axes like that it is a terrible waste of weight a DDT burst motor would be much better section

there was also no need for that 90 degree angle extender for the axe the red plastic could have been attached to the edge of the disc

the best wheels are shiny hubs try to use them as much as possible

plan your bots ahead and make a chassis to fit you bot, not the other way round, air tight chassis are the way to go

supervolts are the best battery's for heavyweights

once you got those things down then this link is your key to advancing your building

http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm

all the best with your future builds :-D

@Craig: Would you just shut up?

@LRA2: Both of your weapons won't be efficient because saws suck in Stock RA2, as well as spin motor powered hammers. You need to get DSL if you want to make both of these efficient.

Also and i'm saying that to nearly every newbie, check this: http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm

EDIT: Damn Joe beat me to it.

Lol, well that's fair enough then :P. Still, show some more of yours and these guys will help you along as much as they can. Just be careful of the n00b whackers on this forum. There's a lot of them.

3 things.

- You have a link in my signature labeled "DSL uncorrupted version". And there you can download DSL.
- You have another link in my signature for DSL basic tips (that is the RA2 wiki).
-And finally, please have a look at the DSL showcases, there you will have examples of good bots (mostly) as well as hints and tips to good DSL building.

I would recommend going in to infogames file in your program files and copy the entire RA2 file and rename it from copy of robot arena 2 to something like robot arena 2 dsl then apply it to that copy

if you add a large number of additions to the one ra2 it will run slow

that one is a lot more space efficient but there is a weight waste on those spikes, so drop them and either take out a pink or 2 and bring in down to a lightweight or add another weapon system and bring it up to a 390kg middleweight

remember always build to the limit

VERY underpowered, both steering drives and flipper segments suck. Get one more DDT and use 2 supervolts, then use 2 HP-Zteks for drive. And finally use the small wedge for the DDTs. :D

[Edit] Haha! Beat you guys to it. :P

chassis that shape can be used very differently don't bother with the car steering motor, use 2 Zteks for drive, supervolt, pink battery's arnt very good, shorten the red extender and use the small wedge block for a basic MW flipper robot :-D

Edit: damn Pwn your just to fast lol

Right, well, first things first, don't use that drive. Its too heavey, takes up too much space and isn't very good. Second, that bots underpowered with that single pink battery. Third, I don't think that weapon setup is very effective; it isn't powerful enough and it will break easily.

Do you know what a Popup is? You could turn this robot into one if you improved the setup.

EDIT: Looks like we're both just too slow, Joe...
Good evening.
