Post by: pyscolone on May 28, 2009, 08:47:54 PM: This is kind of like BOTM, and what me and Inf used to do way back when. Its just someone stating a type of bot with a few details and you building what you think it would be like. After that you expand on the idea and reform it into something useful. I just havent been motivated to build anything and maybe if I had some ideas something could come out of it. This isnt a contest or anything but just a way to express what you think would be the best design for a certain class with a few restrictions, not saying you need to follow them. Just post what you come up with and constructive criticism will be given.

First bot on the agenda: MW Pure flipper, try staying away from rupt (but hey anything goes)

Also note, get them posted within a week because we dont want bots flooded from months back. I'll try to keep this a weekly thing, and any idea for bot types just PM me

Post by: infiniteinertia on May 28, 2009, 08:56:37 PM: Well we all know that guys like Technex really didnt have another flipping glitch, and JimXorbs bots didnt magically throw bots higher with 3 non rupting DDTs than other bots, they cheated by editing the .txt files (yes, its true).

But this is an interesting bot class becuase no one builds it ever becuase its a 'non lethal' bot type.

I'll see what I come up with...

Post by: pyscolone on June 22, 2009, 04:07:02 PM: Well I guess a restart is in order; so to start off we'll design a 'MW' bot that has 'any type of flailing weapon' That is all. Simple so any builder can make one, and I also feel a variety designs will result.
To prevent the thread dying, all the bots at the end of 2 weeks will be put in one splash so everyone can give you wise and constructive criticism
