As someone who remembers the times when Snapper II's were taboo, I commend you on not using it. A good, if generic, bot.

You have the weight to lengthen the extenders holding on the plows another 20 cms. Then the motors will be completely protected.

reminds me of little darling in starcore 3, just with plows and not ramplates.

After finishing rebuilding my RAW entry at least 3 times, I've left DSL alone for a while to build another stock bot. This one has been totally rebuilt 3 times and I have a huge inkling that I'm not done either!

NIGHTSTALKER III

*I've removed the snowplow to get a better view of the internals

My first stock attempt at a Neglected Waterbug type weapon system but I've used 3 hp z-tek motors to power the weapons instead of the usual two. It's an OK fighter but I do wish I had the space to fit in a 4WD system to increase it's effectiveness. Anyone with tips how to do this would be greatly appreciated, I sure i still have the weight to do this.

I think you can cut down some of the chassis space, but other than that good bot.

Yeah I know about the excess chassis space but it was originally designed to be 4WD...

Hmm... Make him 4WD, tighten the chassis, use something else than these spike strips and I'll suggest using maces AND razors combo on each disc, like the real NW.

You could get the Snapper II too.

*Removed a snowplow and splayed out the burst motors to revel the internals.

I think I see your point, Naryar. The 4WD was something I always wanted for this bot and now it works like a dream the only problem is the front profile lacks a ramplate (or the weight for 2 ramplates + anchors) that all builds of Nightstalker have had in common. This means low spinners (e.g. Ranacide, Little Darling etc.) will own this bot unless it gets to their chassis first. I HAVE ALSO MASTERED SNAPPER LOADING:D :D as you can see on the middle weapon motor.

Funny story behind this screenshot, I managed to rip off all of (or most of) his weapon motors and just before I took the screenshot a Havok Explosion "pushed" me into Rabid Pitbull dealing the final blow you see in the screenshot.

Vs Spikefan
You can see the front profile is caved in due to damage taken probably from ramming him.

is it just me, or did you use the same chassis as little darlin? looks like it could be the same setup too, with a few minor tweaks for the worse.

A new bot. I'm trying my hand at making a rammer.

8 Wheeled Terror

With my recent learning of how to snapper load, this bot was one of my favorites to build. This is my first bot with 8WD (Hence the name). The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't always drive straight, sometimes it likes to drift around the arena (probably user error, I'm a terrible driver...). DSA armour.

For knowing how to snapper load, you suck at using it efficiently. But it's still good.

I thought EXACTLY the same thing (even if i'm too lazy to get snapper loading to work).

Go and have a look at Scrap Daddy's Doomed LumberJack... you haven't got enough weapons on this thing, you can use just two blue snappers for all that drive and 6WD is enough for a rammer IMO.

Yeah, watch Sages tutorial, its really handy. I made a 12wd rammer(wich sucked) on 2 Snapper IIs with this technigue.

Nar: Its when it doesnt have the snowplow on. But still a nice round number :icon_twisted:

Yeah I'm still learning how to use snapper loading efficiently (a 12WD rammer SSG?! Have you got a showcase I can see it in?).
Many thanks for the vid, Sage I probably should have mentioned that in the original post. That's where I learned.

Lol I didn't realise that coincidence with Nightstalker IV but yeah as SSG said without the snowplow doesn't really count...

I eventyally changed it into a 2WD Mw rammer, because that thing was not controllable of effecive in its weight class.

I had a bit of downtime recently due to a trojan horse virus but I'm back now.

I'm trying to do Pyscolone's popup challenge to try and improve my popup building skills but I keep going over the weight limit. This is the closest I've got so far:

It's starting to annoy me because this is my fifth attempt at this today! The only positive thing i can say is that I've learnt how to stack black batteries.

Any pointers?
