I might suggest that after you install/ apply dsl 2 go into the infogames file and copy the robot arena 2 file and paste it in the same place just rename it to something like Robot Arena 2 (backup) and use it as a backup in case anything goes wrong.... also make a 3rd copy for the sole purpose of your tourney :-D

ACAMS did deleted the stock version by Inf.

Crash when you select an opponent ? Most probably your AI folder hs been damaged.

First install another RA2 version into a new folder, apply the patch (we will call this your new fresh version of RA2, and:

-First try to overwrite your old AI folder with the new one you just installed. You simply copy the new AI folder in the new fresh version of the game you just installed, and you paste it in the main folder of your old (not working) version of RA2.

-If it doesn't works, migrate to the new fresh RA2 version you just installed. Copy your Teams and Robot Designs folders from your old RA2 version and paste them in the main folder of your NEW fresh version of RA2. That will basically import all your bots to the new fresh copy of RA2. And do the same for the corresponding folders if you have custom textures, screenshots, etc...

About your bot: You only need one supervolt I believe, so replace the other with more airtanks.
Avoid the beam and you won't get hit!

How about a burst piston that shoots out of the back?  You can shave off some weight by replacing the iron spikes with razor tips, which, believe it or not, do the exact same amount of damage.

It'll be a hassle, but if my calculations are correct, you'll end up with 119 Kg to work with.

NO. don't put anything else. make the chassis smaller and rebuild it until theres no empty space (or close to none) then just add more weapons.

Well that's actually quite a decent bot , but still too big of a chassis.

Much better. Try not to have the angle connectors so exposed, and build to the weight limit.
