I don't remember what show it was. It was just a generalized technology show, not all robotics.

Here is a robot I just built. I got the idea for it from a carnival ride. It completely sucks, but I'll post it anyway.

The following things are wrong with this robot:
-It's not driveable, it has so much torque that it makes it almost impossible to go straight.
-It takes too long for the spinners to get up to a decent speed.
-It's weak, has no pushing power.
-It's too light
-Parts break off to easily, leaving it either unbalanced or unarmed.
-Can't self right, if it gets flipped, it's over.

Name: "Scrambler"
Weight Class: Heavyweight @ 648.5 kg
Armor: DSA

Weaponry: Too many to name
Powertrain: 2-Z-Tek HP Motors attached to Shiny Hub Wheels
Power: 2-SuperVolt 12 Volt Batteries
Stats: 0-Many
Fastest Kill: None

Pretty good, but some emptyspace that could be taken out. And one really bad thig you should get rid of is the Ballasts in Hurricaneandrew v3, they are only weight waste.

Pops won't get under anything with that caster. You could also switch to a Snapper with a weapon system that light.

The HPZs are something you'd find a LW rammer or something similar, not a LW popup. Consider changing to angle motors (It could also be shorter and more space effective, since you should be able to fit the black batt between the angle motors.) Add more weapons. Add a snapper with a wedge attached, that'll make your bot more effective at getting under things.  Chassis wedges are nothing compared to snapper boosted wedges. And like I said before, get rid of the caster, that makes it even worse, and it's not exactly caster protection.

First off, I think you should take a look here: http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm

No one will even consider taking your bots seriously until you learn the more advanced aspects of ra2.

For your quote unquote "bot" X-Para Mental, I see more things wrong with this bot than right.

First off, never use N-12 wheels. These are literally the worst wheels in the game next to Narrow Wheels. Despite apparent "cosmetic appeal", The only wheels you should use are shiny hubcap wheels.

Also, I notice that you have your ram plates attached to extenders that wrap around your chassis, which wastes literally about 30kg and doesn't do anything to make your bot better. You have also wasted around 10% of your chassis room, and you should never use pink batteries in a HW bot.

Once again, I strongly suggest you go to http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm

Before posting a bot showcase. Most of the veterans here rip apart newbies who haven't taken the time to research the forum, let alone learn the most basic techniques on their own.

This is a very informative and helpful post.

-Quoted for ease of showcase viewing-

You should learn how to eFFe glitch. That way, you'll be able to put more components on your tribars, burst motors, etc.

Try to avoid anything other than razor tips, iron spikes, and maces on spinners. Other weapons (like pole spikes) only do damage at certain points, which is okay if you want to make a rammer, but they limit the effectiveness of spinners. Also, granny guard wheels are fine on some spinners, but try to stick to shiny wheels and rubber wheels on anything else. They are lighter and give a lower ground clearance. Ballasts are always a bad idea, because you can always add more useful stuff with the weight.

But, you've been getting better. I strongly suggest you download Starcore v1.0 if you haven't already. It's quite hard at first, but having tougher opponents really helps you improve.

Much better on all of these. I would be concerned that the pole spikes on HurricaneAndrew v3 may make it so the razer tips arent really hitting that much. Something to ponder.

Very good looking LW popup, though this bot needs a wedge. Get rid of the side razors because they barely touch the opponent, and squeeze the chassis in a bit for a snapper wedge. :D
