@Fracture- I'm talking voltage, not how much power it drains each time. A DDT requires 500 whatevers to reach max velocity and power, and two of them require 1000.

Not really... it's probably the most insane set up ever. I'll see if I can find the bot and just remove everything to show you guys.

Well, it's been a while but I still do this lark occasionally. This bot was just a prototype, it's not that effective at actually damaging the opponent (Probably badly underweaponed).

1 Black, DSA, 12 axes (I think). I would have added 1 more caster but it would have only fitted if I BFE'd it. The chassis could be slightly shunk if I wanted to make it competitive.

Also, there are blades on the wedges. If I rebuild the bot, should I forget them and add 2 more axes?

How are the wedges? Increasing them by 20cms would help. IMHO, I would forget the blades on the wedges. When they don't come out very much it doesn't really matter.

Wedges decent but I didn't fine-tune them yet. Lengthening is a good idea, dunno why I didn't think of it.

You're wasting too much weight on the wheels, blades, tanks and probably some casters as well.

With this type of poker, you should be better off with razors and some side trappers. You wouldn't want your opponent to continuously escape your clutches.

Shinies. I've had terrible luck with 2WD HWs unless they're HSes or specialized VSes. XD

And yeah 2 would do, but 3 is also fine. Remember, small tanks can be stacked.

What sticks out to me is that the wedge/casters serve almost no purpose because they are being blocked by the weapon system. If you want to retain both characteristics in an update of this bot, something needs to be done so that both the frontal wedge system and weapon system are effective.

DP BUMP: A year and 20 days on, and this has slipped to PAGE 5? This will not do.

So, on the way home from Warwick today, armed with nothing but a pen, paper and a note of the weights of stock components - I began to think.

For whatever reason, Kritical (A wedged HS from INF AI, for those unfamiliar with it) popped into my head, and 'Xanana - Rebel Leader' was born:

It ended up being a HS/Popup Hybrid

796.3, DSA, 2 Blacks, 8 razors on 2 DDT's, almost airtight chassis (Just a little space around the blacks), wedges yet to be tuned but decent (Outwedged Restocked Sentinel, the only wedged bot it's faced).

Obviously this won't be a 100% combat effective bot, but for one of my first few stock bots in a very long time, I'm pleased with the build.

Major downside of course is 2WD.

2wd on a hw popup = doing it wrong
and why are these hs motors in the baseplate when you could just put them on the snapper long with the ddts ?

im glad youre coming back to stock for a while though
