Daemon's Showcase
« on: June 26, 2010, 12:55:07 PM »
Well, I decided to start my own showcase.

Any ideas how to improve it?

Replace the square extenders with round ones.  Both have the same health, and the round ones are lighter.

Also, I don't think those spikes jutting out of the sides are going to help much.

Don't use pinks on HW. Use blacks. This bot needs 2 blacks. Also, use snappers for wedges.

There is no space for this.
It has 1 black.

Then rebuild the chassis. Don't be how I used to be with the chassis, if it needs rebuilt do so. Plus, it seems kinds sloppy and even the caster armour is uneven.

Oh, shouldn't anyone say that's at least exceptionally good for a first post bot?

Nice bot. I have no different advice from the other people, but it needs burst wedges.

One more piece of advice: I would angle the plows the other way so there's a wide opening in the front.  As it is now, they could block the weapon.  With the plows the other way they would help feed bots toward the center.

And it's also a good start to a bot.  Good weapons and drive, good space management.

Good wedges, but still poor backup's  defence.

Not bad, I would use DDT's for the wedges and plows instead of bracket wedges.

lol if you going to tell him to use heavier things then at least tell him how to free weight

its some funky extender work, I think making a chassis larger to contain all 4 drives would be better

Shorten the chassis, and if I were you, I would exchange some pistons for more weapons, and get rid of the Y-connectors.
