ra2 hates me. went to put the ra2 folder with my current bots (the pop-up, 36 hs) and apparently i had a ra2 folder there with the same name (wtf?) so i wasnt paying attention and i guess it said merge this folder with this folder...so its a DSL....SC V3..type...thing...and i lost all my bots.... and now i have builders block.. hey that (last part) rhymed

Losing all of my bots happened TWICE to me... and I had more than yours :P

You might want to backup your game in compressed form (RAR, ZIP, etc) sometimes so you have something in case of critical game failure.

What happened exactly ?

All my bots expect the one I just showed are on a different harddrive that i don't have atm

What happened exactly ?

well i was tired of having to go to computer -> program files -> ra2 etc to start the game, so i drug the ra2 application from the folder to the desktop, i tried to start it, but instead it said cannot find python, reinstalling this may help. so i just moved the application back to the ra2 folder and then it worked....so i was going to drag the whole folder to the desktop so i dont have to do those extra steps before the game, but before i did i copied the file and saved it just incase, so i drag one of the files to the desktop, i was watching tv at the same time, so i wasnt really paying attention.. and i forgot i had a DSL folder on the desktop already named RA2, so it asked if i wanted to merge the folders, i said yes because i wasnt paying attention. so i go to launch the game, it works, but it starts playing dsl music and im like what the fu....... soooooooo to make it short, it was dsl and starcore mixed together with dsl and stock components together. so i was thinking okay whatever i have a back up, i go to play the backup version and then it works, but all my bots are gone....damn..

no, in order for me to export the bot to copy it i have to run RA2 as admin, and i forget to do that....

Right click on your Robot Arena 2 icon, select Properties, Find Target, and then double-click on "Teams" (the folder) and copy it to your desktop. Get a new clean copy of RA2 from Sage's sig, and once that is finished, put the "Teams" folder back in your new copy of the game. Voila'!
