Cheese please's Showcase
« on: July 24, 2010, 08:00:07 PM »
Hello peeps! im new to the forums here and i saw some awesome bots, so i thought i would try and see if there is anywhay i can improve my own. the first bot is kinda ok i guess, name is corny i know.

Unending Pain:

it has dsa armour, 6 maces, and 2 plows on snapper IIs.

The second bot is my favorite i got the idea off of the bot in starcore v3, i forgot the name but its the middleweight spinner in EHB (i think thats the name or its 3HB, either way)

DSA, 12 Razors, 1 black battery.

By the way, anybody have any good pop up bot tips? i wanna make a pop up like Epic, or inside the clock.

are there any ways to make them better? Thanks!

Nice bots, you've been lurking a while. I'll leave it to the experts to give you help.

Oh, and welcome!

For a new (though you've clearly been lurking a bit) guy, these bots aren't half bad. =) Nice work so far. Little bit of chassis space management wouldn't go amiss, though.

And for Popups, you need fast drive, good wedges, and a fair amonut of weaponry. The popup's main predator is the HS, so you might want to consider a couple of ramplates as frontal protection, just to be on the safe side. And it should be able to self-right.

okay so i had a somewhat fail attempt at making a pop up.. my question is should i keep it the way it is in the first picture without the 4 zteks, cause its kind of hard to control with them.

or keep the 4 zteks

my other question is should i just take some stuff out to make room, take it down to a middle weight, or just rebuild the whole chasis. or is there anything you guys recommend i put in it to build to the max weight. thanks in advance!

To amp it up to a HW, you'll just need to add lots of external front armor (you'll need snapper loading and eFFeing for that).

Trimming it down to a MW seems easier. Just get rid of a weapon DDT and shrink the chassis. :D

The more weight you put on, the easier it will be to control. get it to almost 800 kgs

i think ill have to start over on it, and make the chasis bigger to put on ram plates, casters ect. cause there is absolutley not room unless i take out the 2 ddt's that the wedges are on, replace those with a snapper IIs then put on ram pltates, casters. or should i just not make pop ups lol

Nah, keep going. Giving up on popups is not a good idea.

so i decided to take sages advice and make a pop up, decided to make it a middle weight. Ladies and germs i give you Instigator 2!

DSA,1 nifty 1 black, 2 wedges on snappers (i think thats what they are) and 4 razors.

Against tommy gun

Wont let me post a pic of whats going on but, when i go to pick a AI bot, it shows the first remake version of the old ra2 bot, lets say the first light weight bot from team spark, it'll show the remake, but after that it will show the regular ra2 bot, the first middle weight and heavyweight bot from unmodded RA2. but then it'll show the 3 bots after that, it will show the (example:) AW bot, BW bot, and then the Heavyweight or shw bot. Anybody else experiencing this? or just me

Very nice. Since you have free weight, you should lengthen your wedges by another 20cm and make your chassis wedge shallower. :D
