Here are two bots that I have been working on. Both have two HP Zteks stacked as weapon power, two HP Zteks as drive, and two Black Batteries for power.

FINALLY, A NEW USER WITH SKILLS!
They look awesome, but you really need to put more weapons on those spinners.
-
Looks good!
I'd say fool around with the chassis to enclose the motors and put on more weapons on the spinner with extenders.
I assume you know what I mean, since it looks like you've seen the Beetlebros' tips.
-
:welcome
Three simple rules that should lead you to a relative amount of success:
- Always use as many weapons as you can, but use them wisely, i.e. Only Razor Tips, Iron Spikes or Maces
- Always build to the weight limit, while keeping your bots as compact as possible
- KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid)
-
Swap the Emergency wedge with a Small Wedge on a DDT. It's been proven that smalls are wedgier.
Get the drive motors inside the chassis and replace the n-12s for grannies or shinies.
Use the plow setup you used on the first one on the second one. It helps trap bots.
Try to get more weapons on there.

:(
Anyway...is that two wedges on the second bot? o_O
-
Remove the back plows, moar razorz, less extenders.

Overstated a bit there.
And *cough*Geice*cough*
-
Build to the weight limit as well, You have a good extra 100 kgs.
-
Here is the updated version. I do not think that there is a way to stack the weapons because the weapon is the 7th part attached to the base. Kept the drive motors outside to help with control. Does anyone have any ideas about protecting them?

Still has unnecessary anchors. Make it so that the z-teks are in the chassis.
-
Make the wedge longer, it'll help with balance
-
Here is the newest version of the bot.

I liked the look of the second version with the chained spinners at the top on a wedge. I would go with that type of chassis, put some ramplates or something on it on the wedge, and some rad hs or something else.

That was pretty mean.

Would the ram plates stop bots from getting up to the killzone and what do you mean by rad hs?
-
RAD=Right Angled Drive
HS=Horizontal Spinner

Your HS is rad!
-
So here is the new version that I just whipped up. The angle motors spin towards the center of the bot to keep opponents in the middle. Had no weight to spare for the ram plates.

HS-VS hybrid with a wedge? Interesting and ambitious, but the lack of weaponry and the fact that the HS part will prevent the VS from hitting anything makes this cool, yet innefective.
Remove the wedge, move the HS back to the VS can connect, and use the rest on adding weapons to the VS/HS parts.t
And try to put allthe connectors in the middle, so you can shrink the chassis by a lot Also, this will need 3 or 4 blacks.
That is all I can think of. Still very cool, though.
-
Actually, this just needs 2 blacks, and the weapon setup (spacing-wise) is near perfection. Just attach the drive directly to the baseplate and perhaps attach the RAD system to the Snapper2 holding the plow.
hybridz r kewl

But blacks output 800 units, and HPZs need 400 to be fully powered, therefore 1 black to 2 HPzs?
It needs to be centeralised, so the chassis can shrink, and the wedge is just a hinderance.
-
A fully powered weapon system is one thing (that's 1 black to 4 HPZs, btw as only bursts follow the full power thingy. Spin motors only require half the stated output), an extremely fragile weapon system is another. You would lose all your spikes against even against a decent counter in less than 2 minutes.
Plus, outwedging a bot might be the only thing you need for a victory. A popup can easily trash that thing despite the type disadvantage.

Lose one spike on the VS, and you will, quickly, and the wedge is deemed useless, thus the whole bot is. To defeat the bot, all you would have to do is knock off a spike, and let it bounce around, gut ripping it. Wedge = Bad
-
lol dude have you even tried playing around with a chained vs?
Nearly any bot that can rip off a chained VS' spikes without doing much will pwn the VS whether the VS has a wedge or not.
Try fighting contemporary HWs with a chained VS and you will see that you DO need a wedge for it to be good:

If you're going wedgeless you may as well ditch the chain and go for a dual VS so you pack more armor.

how do u know he is new maybe he was playing whit out the forum ?
but yes he have alot of skill :))
-
Well, new user doesn't really mean that he hasn't seen the forums yet. He may have been a lurker for a while, such as Geice, which may explain his relatively good building skills. I think it looks quite old-school, I like it.
-
i never understand what means "old scool" :)
-
Here this will solve the question as to how long I have been around.

Long time and a new bot so I just started a new thread.
