I hope you're ready for my utter garbage stock bots. Oh and don't point out the obvious fact that they suck a**.
First up is my middleweight popup spectrum 9
(https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/47132screenshot 10.JPG)
Pretty cool splash huh
-
Build to the weight limit.
Nice splash BTW
-
ok make your splashes smaller
a mw popup should have hpzs and shines or rubber wheels
you can usually fit the black in between the hpzs and have 1 green snapper for wedge or 2 green snappers for wedge and ddts for razors
also get 1 of the starcore packs(v2 or v3 would do well for you) and build to the weight limit.
ok Naryar say what i missed
-
...What about "No" ?
-
so i missed nothing then.
-
...i just dont want
-
so why bother with the last two posts
-
Because you asked me to follow your advice by mine, and i said no.
Anyways he lurked enough to impove on it's own.
-
ok just dont like to start flame wars(im not inf or sys32 btw)
-
Humans...
Also you can stack two black batteries into each other. May I ask what the second extender next to the wedge is for?
-
Humans...
and you aren't one?
-
please no flame wars.
-
I agree CHD, who likes flame wars anyway?
and you aren't one?
What do you think?!
-
You are a lolcat?
-
NO.

Bout time I started playing Stock again.
Alright time to brush the cobwebs off this old showcase and reveal you my first Stock bot in years.
Here is Flaildown.
Flaming for flail spam or something along that line?
-
I actually like it :)
...

...
Problem Sage? :trollface

Flails only earn ghey points in DSL. In Stock, they kinda suck. But they can sometimes work, depending on the opponent you get, S32's Irony Punctuated in Annihilator is an example.
N-12 wheels, though, are a pretty terrible choice. They look cool, and that's about it. Shiny Hubs are a much better choice, they give you pretty much the same speed and HP for almost half the weight. You can also discard the pinks and one Nifty, a single Nifty will easily power two HPZ's for three minutes. If you shrink the chassis up around the remaining components, that will net you a total of approximately 80-90 kilos, which would be enough to add a bunch more weaponry, or maybe something in the way of defense.
-
much too slow, you probably need 4 wd at the least, (6wd is recommended), take a look at my oct/-\pus on the exchange [/shameless plug] and you're better off with less flails with more weapons instead of a bunch of little flails and only one black is needed
S32's Irony Punctuated in Annihilator is an example.
unfortunately most of the vids are baleeted for annihilator until i can find/be assed to reup them :(

My first stock bot in months is my first stock lightweight, and my first stock lightweight is my first lightweight popup (https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/92265Vista%20Sux.JPG)
It's so underpowered that halfway into a fight with M.A.D. I flipped myself and couldn't selfright.
-
it's pretty bad to say the least..
-
Try to clone someone else's LW popup. That's how you'll get the best design.
-
it's pretty bad to say the least.
It would have to improve to be pretty bad notice my edit to the post I made.
Anyways I want to improve it but if I try to edit the stupid thing it goes into the middleweight class.

I did I tried to clone a bot from the Starcore AI from several years ago (And i only started playing again recently)
-
battery choice failure
the current batt setup you have weighs 24 kg and only outputs 300 power, if you were to get ATLEAST a nifty batt, you could use 16 kg and output 400, a nifty and a single pink would fully power this but a nifty is the least you can get away with on a lw popup from my experience

Hmm I need to move the Redberds to make way for it. Then where do I put them... I will figure something out. (Boots up RA2)
-
it would be better if you use a black or a nifty and no angle connectors
other than that it is decent.
-
Clone something from a showcase, you can see the insides then, making it easymode.
-
And if you are going to klone something, I guess this would be a good starting point
I'm back, and so is Disembowelment:
not as well done as the first one IMO. There are still bits of empty space due to poor chassis trimming. It's still using DSA and has 5 razors now instead of four. Now more wedgy and destructive, but still has a very exposed wedge.
-
(https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/8934VS2.JPG)
I took the advice and got rid of 2 pinks and kept one used the weight to add a Nifty. That took up a bit of space so to prevent a chassis wedge (Which is usually trash) I nixed the Burst motor with the small wedge and attached it to a servo instead, then I replaced the small wheels with Shinys, since I had some weight left over I added an extra razor to the weapon.
-
plain ole chassis wedge doesnt matter so much in anything under mw since almost every other bot is a spinner or rammer
and servo wedge here is a waste of weight, you could experiment with it in mw and hw since theres more weight for that kinda stuff but here you could go with a snapper (or a chassis wedge) and upgrade the drive to reg/hp zteks or upgrade other parts of the bot like weaponry

Tried your suggestion to delete the servo, then I went to the test garage to try getting under some crates and came across this bug

Got rid of the small wedge and... This is pointless you can't fix trash I am ragequitting this bot.
-
I liked the wedged version more. Just move the Snapper2 to the right, load the axle out to place the battery and stuff, and after that the weapons should be centered.
-
Redesign the chassis...
-
I'm giving up on the bot and the weight class (I like HW's and MW's better (Less weight constraints) if I have to re-skin it (Skinning is time consuming) and doing a re-design will make me have to re-skin
(https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/77261ESM9.JPG)
So This is another one of my botched attempts at stock
As you can see I was trying for a 36 Mace HS but came a few maces short
I didn't skin it in case I have to re design it.
-
Some quick tips:
Don't use pinks on HWs.
Use 2 blue snappers.
Don't use redbirds for drive on anything heavier than a MW.
-
pls stop using pinks on bots that dont need them
and i suggest you take a look at absolute chaos in bbeans ai to see how a 36hs is commonly made

Where and what are blue snappers?
-
Is anyone going to tell me how to get the blue snappers?
-
the copy of ra2 in my sig has the blue snapper II
-
Now I'm having issues with the axle loading glitch not working like it's supposed to.

What do you mean?

Now I'm having issues with the axle loading glitch not working like it's supposed to.
What do you mean?
I load the Z-Tek's on a snapper with two red extenders
(There are two blue snappers) both facing the same directon, go to the test garage, leave the test garage & the red extenders and everything I loaded on (I have 2 blue snappers which equals 4 red extenders) are facing oposite directions from each other (One side is upside down). It's kinda hard for me to describe.
-
only the snapper arm on the blue snappers will rotate.
the other points are like servos, they go back to the rotations you put the things on to them.
-
Don't get used to this, I don't really play stock, here is Challenge Accepted.

That's a lot of ram plates.

That's a lot of ram plates.
This was my IRL Extenderbot entry into this months BOTM, it ultimately came second behind VirusBombs incredible entry "Big Bad Wolf"
-
IMO I like the effort you put in but it's kinda under-whellming when you notice that its literally just a box with an axe
