Ignore Topics

Ignore topics is the life saver. If you want, ignore all topic except the ones you are intersted in and use 'Show unread posts since last visit.' Don't get rid ofthe ignore.

I think people are just confused and thinking he's getting rid of show unread topics and not show replies to my posts.

I have yet to use the ignore topic thing. I prefer to just use Show new replies to your posts. If I want then I go to Show unread posts since last visit. But I always liked the Show new replies to your posts thing.

I usually just click all forums with the firestorm logo as new tabs and read everything

Just so you guys know, you can still block topics from showing in Show unread posts since last visit. in your profile.
 

This page lets you ignore particular boards. When a board is ignored, the new post indicator will not show up on the board index. New posts will not show up using the "unread post" search link (when searching it will not look in those boards) however, ignored boards will still appear on the board index and upon entering will show which topics have new posts. When using the "unread replies" link, new posts in an ignored board will still be shown.

I know this will be useful for some, but I personally, except about 6 threads, read everything on the forums.
