It says that it's either missing or off limits to me. It's obviously the latter.

Well, here are ACAMS's reasons

Several reasons....

#1 - If you have a special Showcase Section, then EVERYBODY else will want one!
#2 - By all rights, it should be where I moved it.
#3 - The forum is toooooo long as is.
#4 - Well I probably could think of more, but my poker tournament is starting.

does everyone has an entire conversion mod with brand new parts?

Joe I'm gonna Strangle you, why have you been so Pessimistic with your mods lately? just because the patch angered people doesn't mean you need to take down your forums and stop Candy factory!

has nothing to do with the extenders debate, I don't care if that failed or not I was trying to help bring a bit of life into stock without effecting any other versions.

Candy Factory/ Monster Mods was dropped due to lack of interest, there was only a small party who were interested in them. No big loss, I have more fun skinning the UI's then releasing them anyway :P

Backlash may potentially remain unfinished as I just lost motivation, the more and more I work at it the more I see its not getting to places I envisaged, the idea of taking things I tweaked around with for fun (like motor speeds) and turning it into a balanced public mod isnt working...

You did not do anything wrong with your patch in my opinion by calling it a patch. You released an all-in-one mod that saves a heckuva lot of time. I was sad to see that you had taken it down. When is the last time someone got rid of custom parts because someone did not like them? The debate was about the legality of the new extenders, nothing to do with how good or bad you patch was.

And on the subject of Backlash...
It was clear from the second I saw the promo videos that it is not going to be balanced. It is going to be fun. Pure fun. The way RA2 and other games were supposed to be before AIing become the only  way to tell if a bot is good. Naryar will BAWWWWW about unbalanced this or unfair that, but nobody is giving up on DSL 2.1 and not using it anymore because it is unbalanced!

Backlash is cool because it is one of very few mods to actually be based around awesome new parts instead of piggybacking off of DSL, or having new and awesome AI. It deserves its own showcase section because it is a different game, maybe in the league DSL even in the popularity it will have and the notoriety it will get. Just look at the AI preview thread! So many people will embrace this mod, unbalanced or not. The parts you have shown are awesome. The ideas you have are awesome. Just about every god damned thing you have done on GTM IS AWESOME!! And I hate seeing you BAWWing all the time about things.

Balancing Backlash is like trying to get a 3-legged horse into the Kentucky Derby. It just is not what it was supposed to do, so you need to embrace what it is. And what it is is different. If you want to take a break, by alll means do it. But I think you have showed too much awesomeness to let it die. Not pressuring you to finish it, but nobody ever said that you had to do it yourself, and nobody wants to let it rot in the back of a hard drive somewhere.

Just my two cents.

thanks for the input.. dont forget emotions dont carry through text so Im not saying it in saddness or "Bawwing" (I even used a :P in one of my posts)

At this stage nothing is happening as I am having trouble with my aim working (and so many people bitch about it being balanced or not) I had many ideas to change how the robots would appear to other versions to try and create some more realism but I think it will sink the whole thing (IE people wont like it)

but im still up beat about it, I just need to do a lot of testing, part of the problem is I am my own worst critic  ;)
