Tournament host rank request!

So i've been watching starting at GTM thread.. and i have noticed... There is no Tournament host rank! I think it should be added and awarded to a profile with 10 and/or more tournaments hosted.. Thoughts?

Then almost everyone would have it, plus there was a Tournament something rank but they got rid of it.

We had something similar a few years back that if you hosted 3 tournies during a year you would get a green Mega Host title, I have no idea why it got discounted, but it did.

You do know nobody has over 10 host points, right? (I've actually hosted 10 tournies, but I let two of them expire  Which means literally nobody would currently have this title.

Well it was intended to be hard to get... Okay maybe 8..

I don't see what's wrong with keeping it at ten.

We had Mega Host, as 090901 said. It didn't work as nobody wanted to put the work in, and it'll be the same for this. By the time you've hosted that many tournaments you'll be eligible for AU anyway. No point in overcomplicating the rank system honestly.

Not necessarily, I hosted 3 (4?) tournaments last year.

It didn't work as nobody wanted to put the work in, and it'll be the same for this.

There was like three or four of us who got Mega Host, which is a fair amount.

Well, an entire year went by without anyone picking the title up. 3 of us got it in 2014 but none of us did in 2015. Like Craaig said, if the tournaments stack up and they are good, you'll prolly end up becoming an AU anyway.

Nobody got it in a whole year so we phased it out, wasn't a successful project in encouraging tournament hosts.

Also Badger I mean like when people have hosted 8-10 tournaments, they'd be pretty eligible by then.

If anyone was to reach 10 tournaments, I'm sure it'd be an almost instant AU.

To be perfectly honest though, I don't think we need the Mega Host rank back, especially if we had this "hosting 10 tournaments rank" as that would cover it nicely without having to remove it and add it back each year (That's only if we were to have the new rank).

Like previously stated, if you're hosting a lot of inventive tournaments that are well designed and hosted, then you're probably looking at getting an AU rank rather than a rank just dedicated to hosting tournaments as it's likely that you've done more than just hosting.
