I've suddenly changed my mind. Since everything seems to be gone on the original forums anyway, they may as well be re-directed here.

I removed the redirect.

and no they would come for me, I would take full responsibility(I did the act, not you). I have no problem dealing with layers. I eat them up.

as for freelancers questions:
no, atari has not contacted us... I have not talked to them since they took over. I have tried to contact them with my concerns but i got no response. They really pissed me off.  ACAMS and I are more then willing to take over hosting and payments. I have also talked to a handful of you willing to help as well.

its a good thought but the only way to keep it professional is to have just the admins asking the Qs. as you cant depend on every one keeping there mouth shut.

Instead of redirecting to this forum, why don't we make a catagory on the main page of the official forum that they will obviously see (something like ATARI Please Read). Then we simply ask questions/answers for them there. Although, we should keep it as clean as possible so that they bother to read it instead of simply deleting it.

Yea, Goose.  I'm not an IT attorney at all, but I was wondering the same as FL above about the legal issues of redirecting from someone else's site (crappy as it definitely is).  I hope there's no problem(s) with that....

i have some questions about this:
1- why they erased stuff ? did they tell you ?
2- we cant login to official forums now ?
3- isnt it wrong or illegal to redirect link from their forums ? i mean, cant they do something legal against you ?

I will deal with atari. I cant wait for SOMEONE to contact me.  That is my hope really. I have tried contacting them Willing to take over hosting for the official site... but no response. and then they go and delete stuff. I'm not cool with that game. they are playing

I cannot reply there too

...The problem is about deflecting a link to the official forum ("Forums" in the robotarena.com website) to another unofficial forum... Are you sure you won't have problems with Atari?

by the way you guys can delete the RA2 official website lin inthe main page... kinda useless now.

Yea I know, but for some gay reason I couldn't post in it. It said I wasn't authorized to or something.
So I'm replying to it here.

Although i have to agree that this forum is more reliable, I'm not quite sure that I like the redirect.
I suppose it would be fine if you could import the topics from the other forum or something, but, yes, I did see that you didn't know or or that it is even possible. I just forgot to mention it before (yes this is an edit). This forum does run a lot faster.

For now I have the RA.com forums coming here. in the future  I would like to figure out a way to get the threads/ posts  from there onto here. But I cant really think of any way besides doing it by hand. Neather me or acams have acess to get the database info.

well, I may be able to make a curl script(lot of work), I dunno. we will see. anyone have ideas or comments on my choice to do this?

If you disagree please let me know and I will undo what I did.
