I've noticed something strange lately... if not months, then weeks ago I started finding old posts that have nothing written, but were previously filled with text.

Why is this happening? Even the 1st posts of some threads have been disappearing and there seems to be no reason to justify this... It's annoying at times, you want to read what important thing the poster typed but you can't, you can only rely on quotes to read the original post... And sometimes there aren't even quotes to it.

Am I the only one experiencing this? Refreshing doesn't work either...

I think posts which were not necessary in a thread were whitened out.


It happened to me once. My post (judging how the thread was going) was not necessary, as no one replied to it directly.


I removed it after I saw that it had whitened out.

I think I linked to it in the first post, but in my showcase, my post in which I showed that yellow front spinner bot in which I used the Trovaner Chassis Glitch is gone too.

This function is supposed to restore missing posts or threads.  Clearly something is wrong, but I don't know what it is and neither does the forum.


Perhaps there are just too many posts on here for the system to keep track of?

I noticed lately that not only have posts been "whiteing out" but some have been disappearing altogether. For example, a minute ago there was a post by freeziez in the "GTM IRL" topic but now it's gone. :/

Well I haven't seen anymore posts whiteing out lately, although I found two old consecutive blank posts by Hydro in the Jokes thread.

I still want to know why does this happen.

I can't remember when exactly we did, but ACAMS did close the site down for a few hours not too long ago, so he could switch servers. I'm wondering if that's had any effect, maybe some data didn't get transferred correctly.

It may have been before you joined the site. There was a few days afterwards when the Bot Exchange and RA2Wiki were not accessible from the tab bar at the top.

The ONLY post I can find that is blank is one by S.T.C., and he may have done something to it, I don't know....BUT it is not bothering me because there are a million not blank!

It is blank for me as well. It wasn't like that sometime ago. Also, it doesn't specify it was edited by him, at least for me.

Any way to prevent posts from vanishing?
Or you could "edit" Flying_Chao's speech without adding or removing anything, to see if it comes up for us afterwards... Just a random idea...
