I got an email that says"As a preferred customer with an active license, we are excited to offer the vBulletin Publishing Suite at a pre-sale discount price of only $130 (over 50% off regular price). This is a truly limited one-time special offer giving you $120 off the upgrade price but will expire on Friday October 30, 2009."I click the link to upgrade and it wants $235 instead of $130....what is wrong?I am not going to pay $235....or $195 either, I will go back to PHPBB first
The pre-sales vB4 discount is available on active licenses, and unfortunately your license expired on Jul 22nd '08 and is not eligible for the $130 discounted price. For licenses that expired more than 12 month ago, we are offering an extra $25 discount for advance ordering, in addition to the publicly available pre-sale savings of $50. This means the all new vB 4.0 Publishing Suite will cost you only $210, a total savings of $75. This limited time offer expires on October 30, 2009. Beginning on October 31, the price will be $285. You will be able to take advantage of this offer in the next couple of days - we are currently working to make it an option in your shopping cart. We will notify you once this offer is live on the website. All the best,Carrie AndersonvBulletin Support
I bought a full license, it does not expire.....or so I was told when I bought it. I was told support was available for one year, but I didn't need support.I have an active license and should get the update for the offered price that you emailed me and PUT IN MY CONTROL PANEL!
Hello, this is what an owned but expired license means: **************************************************With an owned license (and any official add-ons) you can run the software forever - that doesn't end. The listed expiration is for your access to the download new versions from the Members Area. You get one year of free upgrades with your license.************************************************** Your license is owned, but it is not active, as it expired on Jul 22nd '08 and is not eligible for the $130 discounted price. Well if you can't do any better than that I guess I will have to look for something else....in the mean time.....KEEP YOUR ASS OUT OF MY CONTROL PANEL!!!!
I am glad the last one was made
There are several options....invision power boards are only $165.00 plus $50.00 a year and PHPBB and Simple Machines are free. We had PHPBB on the first DSL forums and I will most likely switch to Invision if we have to make a switch.
For once the mods did something right
Simple Machines: The administration options are good, you can do great things with polls (Over 9000 options!) Members can edit and lock threads they make themselves, a small part at the bottom makes for great statistics (Most viewed threads, top posters...) Please can we have SM???
