Title: No URLs for avatars?
Post by: Badger on August 24, 2011, 02:43:56 PM: Changed, because of the new question, and I don't want to make a new thread. Old OP is in the spoiler below.

Where did the option to have a URL for your avatar go? Why did it go?

I've been trying to make this .gif my avatar;

But it just comes up as the first frame. All help is appreciated.

Are you uploading from computer? If so, it doesn't work

Likewise, since .gifs don't work with the Upload function, meaning I can't change to Fukireta anyway

There's already a size limit on .gifs, I thought, or maybe he can impose one on URL's as well, if it's only on ones uploaded from your computer.

I can see where you're coming from, but it sets a very bad precedent if we allow you to keep yours and ban others. Either all the rotators go, or none of them will, is how I see it.

I'm willing to part with mine when I've finished my Fukireta animation

IF URL returns. If not, it's staying because of Upload's lack of support for .gifs

If you want to use a .gif, it MUST be 150px x 150px or smaller.

Basically replace the contents of Subs.php with Subs_new.php (make sure to run a diff or something if you don't trust me) and add the javascript function found in add_to_scripts.js to the file https://gametechmods.com/forums/Themes/default/scripts/script.js. (https://gametechmods.com/forums/Themes/default/scripts/script.js.)

Please note, this has been written from the top of my head and I had no chance to test it, so don't hit me with a mace if there's a syntax error somewhere or something.
