I've been trying to post a song I've been working on, but for some reason when the upload finishes I suddenly go to the start new topic screen. Is there a reason for this?

Im also having the same issues massimov had where the server times out whenever I post.

Posting this from my phone.

I had the same error earlier, and it also wouldn't let me log out. I ended up having to run CCleaner to force a logout, and when I logged back in all was well.

For once the mods did something right

Which uploader are you using?

I don't know what I can do about this but I'll try to figure it out.

I just encountered this myself, couldn't log out either, clearing cookies and active logins fixed it. But why did it happen in the first place?

I am sometimes getting session time out when I try to post. Think its just all the tinkering going on at the moment.

This happened to me while using my phone...

I'll continue to   search for the problem. I haven't changed or modified any of the forums   code but I'll double check that none of the things that I did do are   causing this.

Edit: I undid everything that I did, cleaned the   database, and logged everyone out. Let me know if anyone experiences   this issue again or for the first time.
Edit2: Unfortunately, the problem doesn't appear to have gone away. Please be patient as I keep looking for a solution.

Since so many people are running into this problem, I'm going to try updating the forum software. I didn't want to do this so soon but people at the SMF forum said that it would likely fix this issue.

That is what those stupid bastards always say! ..... it pisssssssssssssssssssssses me off!

And I have found that in the past IT DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM

You do what ever you want, but be aware that it will take WEEKS and solid hard work if you want the forum to look like it does now and have all the features that it does now.

Did you change anything besides the wiki .... what did you do in the mysql?

I did maintenance from the admin control panel and optimized the tables ..... see if that fixed the problem.

I cleared the form cache earlier, and I think that fixed the problem.

Thanks ACAMS. I thought I tried everything from the admin panel but if it works it works. I'll also hold off on the update since things are working now.

The only thing that I have done in the mysql (besides upgrade myself on the wiki) is make backups of everything. As far as files go, I removed everything that I added (none of it related to the SMF software). In an attempt to fix things, I also tried reverting all the admin settings that I played with (only like 1 thing).

I have run into problems like this before and you just go to the admin panel and clear the cache ......... also, you need to go to the admin panel and click on members and see if any are awaiting approval because the spam reducing mods I installed sometimes sends honest members there for approval.

I usually approve all, then I run maintenance on members.

I choose Remove Inactive Members>Remove all members who have not LOGGED IN for and I choose 3-9 days, usually 7 who have 0 posts or less.
