I've noticed recently that many threads have been going off topic awfully quick recently. The only logical reason to prevent this, in my opinion, is to be able to Block certain people from certain threads. For example, let's say Serge was playing

in one of my threads. I would simply be able to put his name in the block list, and he wouldn't be able to post in that thread from then onwards. Only Admins, Mods and the person who originally made the thread should be able to control this, mind.

That would cause problems. A more experienced member could potentially help in certain threads which you may have blocked them from.

Well, that's where the mods and admins step in. If they believe the ban to be unjustifiable, they will undo said ban.

I think that it should be restricted to technical advice and threads that aren't asking for people to laugh at.

No, I mean, only if it goes off-topic or if a flame war is going in said thread should a block really be placed on, not however the user sees fit...
