People around here don't like to be called Yanks though, because that could be referring to being a Yanks (New York Yankees)  Fan. Nearly all of us despise the Yankees.

Actually, it was a joke that if you were not in the Central Time Zone.......then you were foreign. As usual, it got turned north and south, then racist.
