well the beetle isnt done just yet, need to screw on the front, get a new weapon esc and make an adapter for the bar to fit on the motor shaft( in the pic its just pushed on)

Is the UK definition of Beetleweight the same as the US definition of Beetleweight?

Is there any reason you went with an angled blade for it? It's going to get some wacky gyroscopic forces when it turns because of the angle of the blade.

3lb weight limit
im doubting it will survive long enough to turn. spin up, slowly forewards (100:1 motors) kill or be killed, suicide bot.

went round to see Mike, the current owner of many robots, Steel avenger, Mr nasty and X-terminator to name a few and have a look at everything, i took loads of pictures and film but this one sums up the day pretty well:

update of sorts:

ANTS: eggbeater arived, new drums fired up, boring 4wd competitive robot ready, spare sabertooth.
ML: 4wd via gimpson motors, video up shortly (aswell as smashy smashy with the spinners)
sacrifical heavyweight is also almost done, got some picturs for you to laugh and make fun of, and then for shweruption to break.

heavyweight lifter/clamper mechanism testing, was on a weedy 12v battery, will be at 36v in combat

bonus points for guessing where the weapon is from

chucked ML together this evening and got the lifter going again along with the 4wdness and the not crap motors should make it a half decent bot
