hecko, alow me to introduce myself, my name is harry im 14 and i build mostly antweights and flea weights. i new to this forum so give me a couple of tries to get these things right =). this thread will be updated with my recent builds, like the half built kilobot, the half built feather and the half built heavy weight proped up against my freinds shed wall. i curantly have running, two antweights, deodorANT and ANTiperspirANT, and a cluster bot called black books. most of the ant events i have been to i have not been very sucsessful but i am gradualy getting better.
some may know me off the fra and rw101 forums.

its changed now...
just wondering what rxs people use in featherweights, i have a spectrum dx5e and about 5 rxs i think 2 don't failsafe on the throttle but that dosent really matter as its a rammer. has any body had any experiance with banebots wheels, for kilobot and featherweight?

hi vertigo! i think i talked you at maidstone, (big Annihilation fan)

didn't want to make a new post for this, i have been rebuilding my antweights both now run of 50:1 hp gearmotors one runs off a 5 amp sabertooth and the other runs off servo boards. i have a couple of 30:1 motors which i may build a run all day robot with or sell, same with all my 40mhz radio gear. my feather weight runs off the standard drill motors with 10mm hpde armour, 20mm in places, i am going to up grade my batteries to something a bit more manly and buy a better speed control(mine are servos and micro swiches) the teams heavy runs off two bosch 400s at 12vs and is armoured in steel and hdpe.

@Haz: welcome to the forums dude! It's always good to see a real builder join. If you interested in getting RA2 you can get it from Sages sig. If you need an robot advise I'll try to help although I don't know a thing about ants. (Smallest thing I have is a 12lber)

I don't trust BaneBots wheels worth anything. I've seen them fail too many times to even try them myself. Colson Castors are the way to go.

As for TXs I've got a DX5e with a BR6000 and a AR6110 receiver. The AR6110 failsafes on all channels and I think that the AR6100 does to.

For transmitters, yes the DX6E is perfect,but you need an old spektrum bot reciever to go with it (you need the failsafe)

robo chalange does some rx, they seem a bit pricey, i do have an ar500 or something like that, is that any good? how does 4mm steel hold up to atacks bearing in mind i don't want to fight spinners yet.
i am a tad worried my feahterweight only weighs 3kg so far, excluding batterys, wheels and speed control, and that i cost £5 to build from scratch- not "i had motors and batteries and armour lying around and all i bourght was some bolts" actualy from nothing.
