Defy Ant vs. ANTI
« on: June 09, 2006, 07:46:28 PM »
I've finally got Defy Ant's fight video from Mechwars 9 uploaded.

(3.5 MB)

Defy Ant is the one with the wedge and the offset blade.

...

Okay, it's the one with the saw blade and the bar that gets beat up.  I must admit it was an exciting match though; not a disappointing loss.

I'm hoping to upgrade to 4WD in the rebuild.  With better drive, Defy Ant would have stood much more of a chance of avoiding ANTI's blade and attacking those big, exposed wheels.  Better armor underneath would also probably help.  ANTI came this close || to hitting my Li-poly battery right through the carbon fiber baseplate, which wouldn't have ended well.

That ANTI sure has a good motor for that saw blade, you could get one like that for your weapon.

Antweights just seem so boring to me.  But t's always good to see some sort of robotic combat.

Yeah... if I had an extra $120 or so laying about for motor + new speed controller, then I could.  But I don't, so I'll probably go with a motor similar to what I had before if I can't fix this one.

MV:  Ever seen MC Pee Pants?    That's one of it's less impressive showings, but it's the only good video I could find quickly.

Still seems boring.  The whole damage thing seems toned down to me because they are so small and all they do is zip arround occasionaly nocking off losely attached components and armour.

I think it is very funny to see a small Nightmare kick ass^^ Antweights are quite fun. It's great to see an antweight take on a SHW...
