Been playing RA2 on and off for years and just found RR. So I'm asking about the ESC's and Batteries not attaching but also looking to ask if the game is still in active dev? This is the best thing I've ever played and hope this labor of love goes all the way! Hope everyone is having a good Saturday!

Yes, the game is still in development, idk how to build in RR2 but there's a Discord server on the front page if you want help

If I had a guess, you're suffering from weld issues.  If you make internal framing that collides with the ESCs/Batteries, it should attach them.
