Apparently they will be using the BattleBox from the 2009 event and running Heavyweights there.


I for one am hyped. Heavyweights aren't dead yet!!

I went overhype for that a while ago, Same with Laudlin. Assuming Breaker Box will be Jim's entry. Not sure bout' Brian, knowing he sold Shrederator.

I hope Pack Raptors join in. Also if Donald Hutson could enter anything that'd be sweet, aswell as more British bots. This could be the Season 6.0 we've been waiting more than a decade for. Just a shame no SHWs though due to a dick canning the weightclass a while ago.

Anyway Shrederator beat Touro by forfeit, so I think tomorrow's HW matchup is going to be Shrederator vs Big Cheese. Unless Gruff shoes up, but since its MW version didnt I'm not too sure...

Edit: Nope, Gruff isn't fighting. Shrederator vs Big Cheese for the first finals spot.

Edit 2: Guess Touro got running again. Shrederator's fighting Touro.

Gotta say I enjoyed watching the first two days though.  Almost like being at a live event.  Last time I was at one of those was back when TC Mechwars was around.

Nice to finally see a HW other than Original Sin, Last Rites or Sewer Snake win a competition. Too bad Shrederator didn't have a better showing, you'd think after nearly 10 years since their last fight they would have fixed most of the issues.

That's what he tried to do in updating the motors and batteries.  But the new Shrederator was untested in battle, so there were issues.  Might've been better if he just ran the same old Shrederator without making any upgrades, but I don't know if that was even an option.

Also, Touro Maximus and Polar Vortex are tough opponents.  It wasn't just Shrederator's fault that it lost.  It was actually spinning for a good portion of its fight against Polar Vortex, but PV still managed to tank all the damage it could dish out and shove it around.
