TIL: Christian Carlberg is a NIN fan

So as I was going through the Battlebots wiki, I noticed Christian Carlberg had a robot for the fourth Robot Wars which was a lightweight walker bot named Pretty Hate Machine:



Which, if anyone here knows, is the name of the first record from the group Nine Inch Nails:



So now I've got a ton more respect for him, and damned if this isn't the coolest origin name for a robot I've ever seen!

I wouldn't say it's the coolest origin story, he just named it after an album, like I almost called Mr Snappy 'Dead Star' because Muse, but an interesting factoid nonetheless.

A lot of builders got their name from something they were inspired by. For example: Ziggo was named after Jonathan Ridder's cat that died. There's a lot of things you can create a bot name from. It just takes inspiration.

I mean, it's the bias in me obviously, but other than Rammstein I can't think of any other robots named after something music related, which always is really really cool in my book
