Battlerat Panels

Hey.

Does anybody know of a website or eBay page or something like that where I can get spare Battlerat side panels? If you could then that would be a great help.
I sent the guy that does Roaming Robots a PM but he's not got back to me yet.
I'm needing these for the Robots Live thing in Edinburgh cos there's gonna be axe bots there.

i don't think john sells them anymore and i think battleratz have their own set of fights so i don't think you need to worry about axe bots

I'm entering into the Featherweight Tournament so there's going to be all different types.

Just be aware that your robot is likely to be completely destroyed. Battle rats were not made to fight feathers.

thats a good point,if you are going to enter it into the featherweights it won't be able to flip much and i would make your own armour for it as the regular armour is only made to withstand being flipped by other battle rats but i would really advise against putting it in with the feathers

I'd actually say that it won't be able to flip anything. They can barely flip themselves, never mind something almost three times heavier.

Judging by what the actual roboteers are saying, I would say that you would be better off to just put your battlerat in a blender than to fight it as a featherweight.

I can't find any info on what a battlerat is besides a couple of youtube videos of it and webpages mentioning them.The armor looks like thin 1/16-1/8" lexan. Which if it is, you could buy some Lexan from home depot or whatever hardware store you have in the UK and make replacements for the armor.

Also if you plan on running as a featherweight you are going to need some serious modifications. 6v ain't gonna cut it. The motors look like 540 or 550 size motors, which should be able to handle up to 12v. Your weakness would be the speed controller. If the armor is 1/8" lexan. That won't hold up to spinners or hammers well. Luckily you've got about 8kg(?). You could go with a large 3/8" thick piece of steel angle or ibeam as a rear plow. You will also want to shock mount the Lexan top armor with a something like these.

I highly doubt he knows what any of that means... Or if he has the ability/resources to get it done.
