To me, it looks like an invertible wedge with a VS on the vertical side.

My dad's pretty good with metal and stuff, I could probably get him to make it (for free :D)

Why, can't he just print out a piece of paper with the disc design and tape it down and drill it?

Nooo

You need it balanced, which means made professionally, from a CAD or something

DP, bump but its my own thread so who cares

got about 200 bucks for my birthday, planning to buy all the bot stuff using it :P all I know right now is that it will be an AW VS (my dad is a professional mechanic, I'm sure we can make an even blade)

also for a LOLbot planning to take an RC car and make a metal shell for it that looks like EMERGENCY :P maybe with interchangable shell for SFTW etc. should be hilarious. Not going to any events till the VS is finished though

For the serious bot, what are you planning for radio gear/drive/batteries/speed control etc...?

For radio gear This receiver works great and is super cheap. I use it with a Dx5e remote in Phoenix.

I got 1000 bucks from one of my aunts. Planning to use at least some of it towards two antweights. Plans to surface sometime soon.
